Nexus Prime

This is why 4.5" is stupid. It is where your thumb can reach with 1 hand.

:( Surprised they've put the OMAP 4460 in it and not the 4470, the latter would make far more sense from the point of putting something competitive out there.

It would be more expensive and totally pointless.

Yeah it probably just comes down to people who are a bit materialistic but then they really should get an iphone instead :p

Are you suggesting that the vast majority of Android fans should get an iPhone?

I never thought I'd hear that. :D

LOL at that picture. Just lol. I can reach far, far further than that when using either of those phones one-handed. :D :o :p

And reasons as to why the larger screen is much better unless you have girly hands:

- much better for web browsing
- games
- videos
- better viewing for everything really.

Also the difference in size is not that much in proper photo comparisons.

Just like with the iPhone, people are getting too upset over specs. Okay, so the GPU is worse, so what is the device going to have trouble doing?

Answer: Nothing.

The idea of spending 500 odd quid on a brand new phone that has the same GPU as the 17 month old Galaxy S is still a bit disappointing (even if it's clocked a bit higher).

It's also about buying a device that's well set for the future as well. I expect most of us don't actually buy a new phone every single year. So the GPU is going to be coming up for 4 years old before I'm likely to replace it.

I have trouble using an iPod Touch with 1 hand, I am sure this would be pure hell.

EDIT: I have small hands FML. Time to get the ruler out.

Exactly, it's better for everything, you didn't need to make a list. :p

4" is the sweet spot though, and I'd be quite happy with that, which is why I'm hoping the iPhone 5 will have one.

Resolution is equally important as well though, and this phone sorts that out too.

It could also be that Samsung are keeping the read deal for the SGS III, no?

Absolutely.

Have you finished growing? :o

Only if they are materialistic in the sense "oh must have the best there is" (as the average person thinks that the iphone is the best around and that nothing beats it) :p :D

The current dual cores i.e. GS 2 and sensation etc. including this nexus device should have more than enough power for the next 2 years unless something is made that requires the power or android becomes a lagging mess on these specs.

CPU is not GPU, and the GPU in the OMAP4460 is a little lacking compared to what's current in the market.

Have to say I have been rather put off by this now that we have the specs and design.

It will be expensive like all the other google phones and its under-specced. Its bulky from those dimensions which when coupled with such a big screen is a deal breaker.

It would be nice to see google put out another top top phone rather than sticking out some middle of the road handset. I am looking forward to seeing ice cream sandwich much more than the phone now.
