Same; the NFL has made a total pig's ear out of this, and now they're attempting damage control.

Their initial suspension was less than a safety would get for tackling Rice too hard for goodness sake!

Should have had at least a full season ban from the start.

Actually reckless or negligent injury.

He used a switch (think willow branch) as a form of discipline on his son.

It's quite clear from texts that he thought what he was doing was for the good of his son, and regretted the injuries he caused. This form of discipline it seems is not uncommon in Texas, and, oddly, legal. The question here is whether he overstepped the mark in his level of discipline. From the pictures it seems like he may have. He has cooperated fully with the authorities on the matter. I see him getting something like a 6-10 game suspension at this rate, and up to a 2 year probation period (2 years is the maximum time but you can apparently often plead out) with community service and a fine. The Rice situation may make his suspension worse mind you

That said, I won't be wearing his jersey for a long time

I know that feel, what a let-down after last week :(

Trying to look on the positives, our defence still looked solid; it was turnovers commited by our offence which killed us, and the left side of our offensive line really was poor (hard to believe Kalil was a #4 overall pick).

never saw that coming even though it was a close game, bucs seemed to keep just ahead of us.

nice to see davis have a decent game for his first start, and we had a couple of nice blocks on kicks, just keeping my fingers crossed austin can stay healthy as i think he could do well, even with the awful schedule we have.

The Manziel play getting called back was unfortunate, as was the negated monstrous catch by Deandre hopkins.

HUGE fight between eagles and redksins

May sound a little butthurt, but that penalty on the Vikings against the Saints really hurt us. Not saying it shouldn't have been called (it should) but penalties should have been called on Brees too for throwing punches after the play. Penalties should have offset.

Gus Bradley has confirmed Bortles starts next week (brutal given it's the chargers), and Cassel has broken multiple bones in his foot, so Teddy will be getting the start against the Falcons (TEDDY TIME!!)

On which note, anyone know where I can pick up a legit Harrison Smith away jersey in the UK?

Oh, the Vikings run game is non-existent... This is an odd experience for me.
