NFL 2016 Season

Strangely anticlimactic final day of the regular season, almost all the play-off spots have been decided already so most of the games are meaningless.

With that said there are still a few games which matter; Jets and Steelers are both trying to keep their play-off hopes alive, and I've got Vikings@Packers to look forward to later tonight :)

I can't lie, as a Redskins fan I'd like to play the Vikings out of the options we have (Seahawks & Packers). What I've seen, they've not looked as good as their record (could be very wrong of course) and we would at least have a reasonable chance at home.

And yes, I'm aware we've not looked great quite often too :)

Vikings up 6-3 at half time, this game hasn't exactly been exciting. Yesterday I watched TCU come down from a 31-0 halftime deficit against Oregon to win 47-41, now that was exciting!

That's probably fair, like yourselves we've benefited from a relatively weak schedule; it's also a moot point, as Seattle's win today ensures that you'll either play them or the Packers.

Either way, I hope that Kirk Cousins is shouting "YOU LIKE THAT?!" when the game is over!

rams showed there true form again

they need have to get rid of fisher, same old crap :(
Rams will always find a way to finish 7-9 under Fisher, it's time for him to go.

Sounds pretty awesome. If there was a service like GamePass but for college, I think I'd watch a lot more (or any for that matter, don't really see it at the moment). I love being able to watch a condensed game in 30 minutes.

Just watching Packers Vikings now, although I've already seen on social media we have the Packers. Probably not too bad a game for us, at home. I think in my head they're still the great team they were a couple of years back, but in reality, they aren't that good now.

So we have -

Saturday

Chiefs @ Texans
Steelers @ Bengals

Sunday

Seahawks @ Vikings
Packers @ Redskins

Well at least if we're getting slammed, I can just go to bed...

Steelers @ Bengals might be good. Shame I doubt I can stay awake for that and working Sunday morning :(

we can only hope, but i'm not holding my breath :(

no idea what goes on in manziels head, talk he didn't show up for a club visit for the doc to check him over due to the concussion protocol.

coaches & gm's already starting to drop, fingers crossed we can list fishers name before to long :D

I'm glad the Steelers finally squeaked into the playoffs.

Though I'm a little worried that we aren't in great form at the minute. Roethlisberger has been poor the last 2 games (3TD, 4INT).

DeAngelo Williams went off injured against the Browns but I don't know how bad the injury is, hopefully he'll be back next week as the depth behind him is pretty poor.

Anyone know when Andy Dalton is due back from injury?

seen mention that it's not likely to be before the first wild card games, but hes supposed to be getting checked up today by the docs.

might have been mentioned before but fisher has not had a winning season in 4 attempts at the rams, and i can't say we've improved massively over the time he's been in charge, so surely they have to do something :(.

Rams do have some good players but at some point they need to actually produce something rather just being about potential and individual performances.

I don't think the Rams are miles away though. Look at the Texans, getting into the playoffs on the back of 1 WR DeAndre Hopkins hitting a bit of form (admitedly in a much easier divison than NFC West).

Tavon Austin is alright but I don't see 10 tds or 1000yards a season from him.

totally agree, our problem is i'm not sure if there are any decent wr's coming into the draft :(.

i'd be happy with a reliable tight end who can catch, i just want us to have options out wide, imo austin isn't physical enough to be our no1 wr, inside i think he could be really useful.

our best receiver yardage wise was kenny britt, but for me hes not reliable enough.

Such a shame for the Bengals how the season will (probably) end on wild card weekend if Dalton isn't back.

He was in MVP form, I think we had a good chance at a playoff run and now this :(

you've got the steelers at your place, way ben is playing bengals have a decent chance even without dalton.

but it is a shame he got injured when he was in such good form :(

Bengals are probably the only higher seeded team to be faves in these match-ups and even then that may not be 100% true depending on who starts and if Ben gets back into the groove Steelers would probably win either way.

I still fancy the Chiefs to go far - they just look so comfortable and in the zone from what I have seen of them. But despite the Seahawks record this season I wouldn't bet against them either. When Wilson isn't playing from behind he can be unstoppable.

The Colts have offered Chuck Pagano a four year contract extension?

Did anyone see this coming? From the way he was speaking a week or two ago I don't think even he did. His jaw must have hit the floor when the owner offered him the deal, I fully expect he walked into the owners office thinking he was about to be fired.

surprised it was for 4 years, but not surprised he got a contract offer.

still cant believe we're still stuck with fisher when the giants got rid of TC and he gave them 2 superbowls

predictions for the playoffs (sry fans if i give your teams bad luck :D)

Chiefs : Houston haven't done enough for me to show that they can take the chiefs.

Bengals : Ben has been iffy last few games, and think the bengals have enough to win.

Seahawks : Think we did them a favour when we beat them, got them to refocus

Redskins : with the way the packers have been playing and rodgers in particular getting banged around i think the redskins might win this one.

I'm pleased Oakland went through black Monday and didn't make a change :)

my predictions:

Chiefs over Houston - Chiefs are on a good roll and I don't see Houston stopping them.

Steelers over Bengals - I don't think the Bengals will score enough to beat the Steelers

Seahawks over Vikings - they're looking good, its going to be a tough game playing in very cold temperatures but I think they'll do it

Packers over Redskins - I'm not sold on the Packers making it much further but they should beat the Redskins.

yeah, after the work he did this season he deserved to stay, hopefully pull off a decent draft.

missed smith leaving the bucs, hopefully the offensive coach will stay, at least to give winston some consistency from his first season.

seeing this raised my age old question of "how the hell is fisher still with the rams", i can only think he has some dodgy pictures/film of the owner

edit:

holy hell hoyer is having a nightmare game, 3 interceptions are really 3 clear throws he should never have made.

Agreed, I can't understand why they stuck with Hoyer instead of giving Brandon Weeden a shot.

Bet Houston are glad they drafted Clowney with the first overall pick instead of addressing a pressing need at QB with Bortles, Teddy B and Derek Carr all on the board, huh? They even passed on Carr at the start of the second round to draft a guard!

edit: I forgot today is Wesstivus! Hopefully this game is more entertaining than the last one.
