NFL 2016 Season

I only managed to watch the first quarter of the Chiefs v Broncos last night. I was just too tired. I knew I'd miss a good finish.

Seems like the officials get things wrong even when they have a video replay.

oh great, just read this:

"Everybody will want to judge Jeff through the prism of just the record, but that's totally unfair when you look at the set of circumstances he was handed this year," chief operating officer Kevin Demoff

how can they say that, when they know full well its because of the previous 5 seasons ?

What circumstances was he handed, that weren't within the control of a Head Coach thats been with a team for years?

there on about the move to LA, and the whole setup with the training facilities, which would be fair enough if this was his 1st or 2nd season, but hes been woeful for 5 seasons.

there's still the nightmare situation where he could be given an extension to his contract

Bookies have the Cowboys at 4-6 with the Vikings at 6-4. Dallas have won their last 10 with Minnesota only winning 1 of their last 6! Hmmm.

I'll go for Cowboys 28-21 Vikings. Over 44 points is 21-20 on Betfair. Seems fair enough.

The end of last nights game was worth staying up for. I like it that a lack of points doesn't necessarily mean a boring game.

I really need to get myself a team to follow.

I know I will sound like a hater, but I was going to say the Cowboys haven't really beaten anyone that good. I know you can only beat who is put in front of you and they've done that. Then I look through the league and there aren't really any stand out teams, not in the NFC anyway. Maybe the Seahawks, but even they lost to the Buccs.
The AFC has the Pats and the Raiders, but even they don't seem as untouchable as perhaps the Pats have in the past.

I would say it's more open than it has been for a while, so it's certainly Dallas best chance in a long time, but at the same time it wont surprise me if they get beaten and don't make it.

Again, I'll sound like a hater and I don't necessarily want to bring this argument back up again, but watching Dak again the Vikings, he didn't look to be able to carry the offence when the ground game couldn't produce like it has. Granted, it's a great D, but 18 attempts for 139 yards is not good.

But... yes, they're certainly playing good, consistent football. That running game and reasonable D could very well take them to the Superbowl this year.

I don't mind seeing Dallas there but I would want a different AFC team. My preference (If not the Steelers) would be Oakland vs Dallas as it would be a great matchup.

This is what I'd like to see as well. Oak v. Dallas would be a dream SB.

Two of the most iconic teams in NFL history... and we've already seen Dallas v. Pittsburgh... 3 times now.. :)

General question to all here:

How do y'all decide which NFL team to support?

Here in the states there are a large number of soccer fans that support teams from all over.... mostly they decide based on a name or the colors and in some cases they may have an attachment to that particular team, parents or family from that area.

Anyways, since the NFL is really only played in the US, I'm just wondering how y'all decide.
