I'm thinking about ordering up one of the sampler packs for the Du Bois fragrances. Not exactly cheap stuff though, especially the special edition stuff!

Picked up a cheapie a few weeks back ... Zadig & Voltaire This is Him! Incense and vanilla. Really good stuff and extremely cheap.

Another Armaf CDN clone is out - a Silver Mountain Water copy - called Sillage. Like Milestone it’s supposed to be a good dupe w/better performance than the original.

Anyone tried Byredo - Bal d'Afrique?

Mate of mine brought it into work with him and it smells great, very expensive though, £115 for 50ml.

Never had to chance to sample any byredo. Selfridges have 10% off atm though. Think it comes to £103

edit. Wearing my bottle of Issey Miyake Or Encens today. Really enjoying this. (Incense and rose, done really well) grabbed it in a sale a while back, 100ml for £35

I've got a split of it. It's a good clone of SMW, not a huge fan of the OG though. Milestone is my preferred Armaf, love MI.

Pulse of the Night and Noir Ambre for me, Or Encens never really did it.

Depsite the vast quantity of fragrances at the top of the page, i decided to get a sample pack from Fragrance Du Bois. 5 x 2ml fragrances 'Fashion Capitals'

Will give them a whirl after i shave for work tomorrow!

Yeah Milestone was a big hit for me and people who smelt it on me over summer. I haven't smelt SMW so I'll see if I can get a sample at some point. VIW next plz.

Milestone is a unisex fragrance but does it lean more towards a feminine scent or not?

I’ve had unisex fragrances before which were always too sweet smelling for me.

Only your nose can decide if it’s too feminine. Try and get a sample or decant. I think MI is fine for men. Never tried milestone though

I think he meant as far as how good a dupe it is. I haven't smelt MI but it seems to get top marks as far as staying true to the original, evening annoying some of the MI faithful!

It's a straightforward smell and wouldn't say it's feminine at all, although it's marketed as unisex. Creed call it a woody floral musk but 'salted watermelon' is the best description to me. Moderate projection, lasts ages.

Err.. well milestone is a £30 fragrance and MI is £140. So there will be a difference in quality. MI will be less synthetic and probably a lot smoother. I haven’t smelt either. I have smelt Alexandria Fragrances Citron Del Mar though. Which is another dupe of MI

edit. I’m wearing amouage reflection today. God this stuff is good.
