M&S Granny Smiths are definitely the nicest I've come across in UK. Infact all their fruit is good (apart from bananas)

I dislike most apples, especially ones with crumbly/sandy flesh. Pink Ladies are lovely though, nice and crisp.

A toss up between Empire and Pink Lady. I tend to get Pink Lady as they seem to be much larger.

Pink lady are nice, but the Australian ones are the only ones to get. Otherewise golden delicious are good, and then asdas bag of apples for a pound are nice.

Pink Lady ones are the tastiest imo. Expensive but worth it. The 4 large pack ones taste even better than the small so so in a bag ones.

Another vote for pink lady. They tend to be more expensive than most of the other apples but well worth it. They tend to be comparatively large, nice sweet taste and a good crisp texture.

I tend to buy them from Costco. Similar price to supermarkets (around £2.99 for 6) but they usually seem to be even larger.
