Nicest flavour apples?

Another pink Lady fan here, a good balance of texture, taste, not too sweet, but above all nice and consistent. Braeburn can be great or really bad, granny smith have a nice solid texture and are sharp and tangy.

Anything that is mushy, sandy gritty I hate. Needs to be a solid apple, firm texture, plenty of juice.

Yes, I'm with you on that.

Granny Smith's are too sharp and sour for my palate.

Been gobbling down pink ladies this week as GD were sold out. Really sweet and juicy flesh, so moist that I just end up with sticky fingers and lips.

Prefer GD.

Fujis are great

These are great if you like sweet apples, gala too. If you like something more sophisticated then some of the smaller British varieties are good but hard to find.

I've always though pink Lady sounds a bit homo.

Generally Braeburn these days, I find Pink Lady a bit sweet.

Sainsburys do a "Best of British" (I think) bag of various mixed apples, had some really tasty ones - plus some I was less keen on but still not bad.
