Nicest flavour apples?

Another vote for Empire but decent quality ones are hard to come by in my local Tescos if they have any at all so I tend to get Breaburn usually as they're a bit more consistent in stock/quality.

I find Pink Lady a little overrated (and priced). Not a big fan of soft-skinned apples. Prefer my apples to be tight skinned, smooth, shiny and crunchy. Not overly sour or ripe.

Tescos used to be the best place to get them, but all of a sudden the supply just dwindled and I haven't found them in any supermarket since. Shame as well because they were the only type of apple I enjoyed.

You should have no problem getting them in Sainsburys and if your in Aberdeen much specifically the Garthdee store, it's where I get mine!

When I bought the pink lady I also bought a golden delicious. Having experienced the pink lady, the golden delicious, (once my favourite), seemed a bit dull by comparison. So from now on, it's pink lady only.

I prefer Macintosh Red for eating, Golden Delicious for juicing (with a bit of lemon and ginger for a yum drink).

I've seen Pink Lady apples in Tesco but have never bought any, will get some next time to try... they seem popular. :p

Cox and Russet when in season.

Jazz and Pink Lady as a general weekly supermarket choice. Also Rubens are nice. Generally English apples are the best but they don't keep well at all.
