Night Owls

I hate paperwork.
Dishwasher filled, going to bed.

Plans: I have one tin of cat food left, an empty freezer and two slices of ham in the fridge, I can not survive another day at home without doing some shopping in the morning.

Cat food for breakfast, ham for dinner.

Argh still awake, if I didn't have a long shift at work later I'd not bother with sleep at all and try and reset my sleeping pattern a bit.

I'm naturally nocturnal. Now people can say that's bs (and many do), but if I'm not working I naturally slip into going to bed at 2-3am and getting up near mid-day.

When I was at uni, being the unequivocally bad student that I was, I would not surface until about 3pm, having been up all night and having just gone to be at sunrise. It was no surprise that I got the nickname "vamp".

I really have to force myself to go to bed before 11pm. I don't feel tired at that time, in fact that's when I feel most active.

My whole phd was written between the hours of 23:00 - 0600

It's true and bs at the same time :D

I'm a night owl, as you can tell from the time I am posting this, despite having to be at work at 9am. However, saying you are a natural night owl isn't true, the body is designed to sleep during the night and I always do when I go Yurting. There's no electricity, so no computers, ebooks etc.

It's technology that keeps us up, throw work/uni etc into the mix too.

I'd advise that everyone goes away yurting at least once, somewhere with no power. You turn off the phone, no social media, forums etc. Takes you back to nature :D

Dunno I've always slept like this long before I was using much in the way of tech, etc. plus the thing is when I'm in the states (even when long enough I'd adjust) - my sleeping pattern doesn't shift I still start to fall asleep what would be ~3-4am UK time, which is like 10-11pm in the US (depending on which side you are) instead of it slowly working around to 3am US time.

Well here's the thing. It takes no effort to become nocturnal, and happens automatically if I have no reason to be up early (ie work).

However going to bed early and getting up early requires real effort and willpower, to overcome my nocturnal tendencies.

There are morning people and afternoon people, I thought this was accepted fact. There are also night people, surely.
