Ninja Gaiden II

Don't worry about that, once you get to Chapter 9 and get the Vigoorian Flail. You'll be getting triple figure combos like it was going out of fashion.

Yeah this is true. However I got mine using the staff on the level where you are trapped with all those little boney creatures before you battle the big boney boss creature.

Ok, am getting really ****** off now. Am on final boss, but twice now my talisman of rebirth has not worked.

Had the ******* 3 quarters of way done then died because rebirth did not kick in.

What on earth is up with the boss design on this game? Most of them have been hard, then I get to this huge snake thing and it goes down without a fight! I sat in the same position firing arrows at it, it breathed on me a couple of times (unblockable as usual) but didn't even attack me!! Just can't believe they play tested this at times.

That's not a boss, it's a sub boss.

Yet the next one seems to have thousands of unblockable attacks! What are you supposed to do about the ones where he grabs you and eats you or drops bones on your head! There just seems to be no way to beat these bosses except trial and error, or just plain luck. He has one attack where he just mashes his fist down that seems unblockable and area of effect! I've fought him three times now and each time hes grabbed me twice and taken off 2/3 of my health. And why does my ultimate attack seem to do so little damage compared to just spamming x and y

Sounds like your un-equiping it, as it will auto-use itself when you die unless you dont have it equiped

Oops. you wer right. I was unequpping it.

Oh well, got past that big boss with the gammy eye and thought "Yay, I'm done." But no, there has to be one more, and now I have no ninpo, no items to restore health, and am gettinng my arse handed to me.

Going to have to start over from my last save, which i think was before the beardy guy :(

It's no different to the 1st game in that respect. Some early bosses were really hard, some of the middle ones (like the electric worm boss) could be taken down without even being hit. I think it's a conscious decision to give you some easier sub-bosses in the middle of the game to give you a break before the tougher end bosses.

I'm really lost here, which snake boss? Is it the one from the end of level three?if it is i had quite a bit of trouble on that first time through, but it didn't seem any harder when i played it on warrior.

But after a while of playing it more, i have really come to enjoy some of the boss fighting, none of them are static fights, even against the really big guys. Just gives the encounters a nice fluidity about themselves.

It's some insect worm thing with a skull like face, I think that's the one he's on about. It is glitchy as hell, when I did that boss it pretty much glitched constantly.

Gotta say Im loving this game - hasn't dissapointed me in the least. Im only on level 3 at the moment - taking my time trying out the different weapons (finding the other weapons much more useful than in Sigma/Black - pretty much used the Dragon Sword all the way through those).

Similar to Sigma / Black but with enough changes for it to feel fresh. The mental speed being the biggest difference (love doing the ultimate techniques and watching Ryu fly about leaving carnage in his wake).

Graphics are a big step forward from Sigma imo, particularly with the enemies - much bigger, more detailed and MANY more on the screen at once.

Not had any slowdown yet (tho I understand that happens in later levels).

Only thing thats annoyed me is the bleedin' bats in this one - they've been beefing themselves up since Sigma !! :)

wish i knew how to do the end boss without needing three large health things and the full health thing muramasa gives you. (only used my taliman on *** lvl5 boss).

But i have been wondering about the lives of the god system in this game. When you apply the health upgrade it also heals you fully unlike in the previous games. So essentialy nine lives of the gods are full heal potion basicly, same goes for the thousand lives of the gods. Considering they give you a paltry amount of extra health this time around i'm considering leaving them in my inventory for the time being.

Just got the kill 1000 enemies using obliteration techniques achievement. Can't believe I've killed so many with that already. Getting the 1000 kills with ultimate will be a pain, I barely ever use it because it just seems impractical 99% of the time, you leave yourself open.

Definitely going to try and get 100% with this game, got 42/60 achievements so far.

They've all been fine for me except that worm boss. It was terrible. The mini-worm things that are supposed to appear were flickering and moving irratically, warping, the boss itself would be stuck in walls, moving irratically, glitchy animations, flickering.

I've encountered many, many bugs and problems in this game, but they're all relatively minor so it's not too bad.
