Ninja Gaiden II

But i have been wondering about the lives of the god system in this game. When you apply the health upgrade it also heals you fully unlike in the previous games. So essentialy nine lives of the gods are full heal potion basicly, same goes for the thousand lives of the gods. Considering they give you a paltry amount of extra health this time around i'm considering leaving them in my inventory for the time being.

I'd completely recommend saving the LOTG until you need the full health boost, simply because it does give you a fairly minor health increase. Bigger increases would be more useful right away, but the lifebar refill is very useful at times :)

I hate how it doesn't save after the chapter 6 boss and then you have to fight loads of werewolves afterwards! I died after killing the boss because they through body parts at you constantly

lol, I just did that boss on Way of the warrior, and I had to do it again because it auto equipped the god damn scythe and I didn't realise so I used it meaning I wouldn't get the dragon sword achievement. Why on earth does it auto equip the weapon? So stupid.

As for the werewolves after, I just spammed the blades ninpo. Easy :D

Dash + Jump Technique to be honest :D or just use the Scythe

Yea, however if you quit and re-loaded it would have been fine as it wipes the fact you used it because it wouldn't have saved. :)

It does it again later with Genshin remember when you pick up his sword :)

Random question (only at Ch4 atm) What sword is Genshin using in the Ch2 fight?

Genshin is using Genshin's sword :D

The Blade of the Archfiend, favorite weapon of the Ninja Overlord Genshin, has been passed down through the generations to the most ruthless and powerful members of the Black Spider Clan. Ancient stories suggest that the blade originally was made from the molten remains of an iron meteorite that had been breathed upon by the Archfiend. Its surface is inscribed with divine characters that have been translated to read: "Praise be the order brought forth from the very edge of chaos."

When combined with the Dragon Sword, the weapons hold immeasurable power. Sparks run up and down the length of the blade when its evil magic combines with the power of its wielder. Take out a group of opponents with the Ultimate technique, using the Obliteration technique to finish off any remaining.

Oh :)

I never got far enough in NG1 to gain the unlabored flawlessness and wondered if it was that....

(Yes still stuck at the helicopter btw :()

The last boss is easy..just take your time and avoid everything..when he starts walking into the wall, just run over to him, and hit XX YYYY XX with the dragon sword to take off a decent big of damage (or use the ultimate technique)

same for the bone boss..he'll start eating bones or whatever he does. If you wait for him to do that, he'll be open for attack. Just make sure you get out of there after doing your damage or he'll grab you or whatever :)

This is the first game I have ever started again immediately after finishing.

Played through first on Acolyte and using all the different weapons. Am now playing throug on warrior, and am going to use only the dragon sword throughout the game. am on chapter 4 so far and have not levelled up my health at all, nore any of my ninpo.

***********possible spoiler*************
The only time I have been gratuitous with my use of devil way mushrooms and health items is on that horrible chapter 3 boss (the big metal floating head thing), for which i can find no strategy, other than to shoot arrows until he dies, while using ninpo to kill those fishy things. Most irritating boss in the game I think.
***********end spoiler*********

One thing I have noticed though, is that there is a lot more slow-down when playing through as warrior, than on acolyte. Assuming this is due to the number of creatures thrown at you.

The most annoying enemies for me in this game have to be the rocket launcher guys and the frigging dogs.

I have noticed this also. On Acolyte I had basically no slowdown whatsoever, that includes slowdown and mid level load times.

Now on warrior, sometimes in the middle of the level it just pauses and says loading, then a few seconds later, loading again, then again. Once it just did this over and over until it crashed. And I've experienced slowdown many, many times.

Also, agreed those dogs are incredibly annoying. There's always one or more of them it seems throwing those explosive shuriken at you just constantly. The rocket launcher guys are pretty bad, but the robots on that Daedalus ship thing are worse, they just shoot you and if you get hit you can't even move or do anything sometimes.

Any tips for the end of level 3 boss (long silver snakey thing) - keep on getting electrocuted anytime I get near it.........

You need to user your bow. Hold it long enough to charge up, and try and hit the face. When it launches its little fish things, use a ninpo as I have found no way to dodge them.

You absolutely have to avoid the blue face thing it sends out, and when it starts shooting electric balls, try head to the side and keep jumping, myabe run along wall. Do not go near it.

I could develop no strategy for that one other than what I suggest. You will need to use some health items.

Maybe somone else got better workaround.

Cheers, will give it a blast tonight :)

When it's shooting balls at you you should be able to go along side it and fire one or two charged arrows at it.

The best location i found in that fight is about one third of the way along the tunnel on either side. There you have plenty of space to avoid *** blue face and can run out of the balls attack easily and when the thing floats to the end of the tunnel to turn around you won't be jammed up against the wall where it's difficult to get away without being struck by the lightning.

Using nimpo on the flying heads is very good as they drop essence allowingy ou to do multiple UTs in a row easily.

I've only fought it once so far and beat it, but I switched it off because I felt I used too many healing items.

My strategy is similar to the ones already posted, but instead of using ninpo against the mini-boss monsters I just ran straight at them and used flying swallow and it seems to work quite well for me.
