Now that is a good deal there. Never did get an email from them alerting me to new stock. Just a marketing stunt as I thoughtMy £198.50 Switch has been dispatched, happy days![]()

Not yet. I highly suspect it will be tonight.Has anyone had their Amazon order dispatch yet if saying today?
IGN review of the hardware is pretty scathing.
They were expecting the whole device to fit in your pocket, be as powerful as an X1, have full sized controls, dock horizontally, have a battery life of six hours and have an optical out/ethernet port on board.
Some legitimate gripes but a lot of unrealistic expectations IMO.
. I am fine with the size, whenever I'd actually need it, e.g. train, I'd have an actual bag with me anyway. Any long journey too for me is a combo of Switch and iPad so not so bothered about battery life either. Plus again, long journey = bag and portable power pack. Even then, usually plugs around on a train or plane (USB).Who cares about what they say anyway. Not used that site in years... I bet if Nintendo paid them they would have had a different story. lolIGN review of the hardware is pretty scathing.

I can take the negatives, however some of them were already known. Nintendo did already state 2.5-3 hours battery for Zelda, we've known this since January.
Again, a few of the little quirks were obvious to anyone looking, such as a small kickstand. People using terms like 'Hidden costs' to buy a pad is ridiculous (Kotaku), every pad costs money!
I accept the console is underpowered compared to my PS4 and XB1, I'd be stupid to think otherwise, as the battery would need to be massive to sustain the device. My hope in this regard would be a 'pro' dock with a GPU integrated. Again, a compromise I'm willing to make for higher graphical fidelity, just a PS4 pro users have paid more for 4K textures and better frame rates at 1080p.
The real concern is the joy cons cutting out, however digital foundry have found is most living room environments, the issue is minimal / none. Again confirming that media outlets like to make mountains out of molehills (remember the PS4 launch issue with the HDMI). However, I will be wary when using them in 2 player games
I see this console as a replacement to my 3DS and a nice addition to my collection of devices for gaming. It'll give me access to games I cannot get on my other machines as well as the option for taking games I'd normally play at home on the go.
I take it you can't use the a Wii controller with the Switch?
