*** Nintendo Switch ***

What would you guys say are the must buy accessories to buy with the console if I was to go get it tomorrow ? don't want to end up getting it and then thinking ah I wish I had this and that... Plus I'm going to Canada next month for 3 weeks so would like to make sure if I get one then I have everything I need for that :)

Pro controller is an absolute must for home gaming.

I feel like the other way round when the parents goes and "tidy" up and put the controllers in the wrong side.

Its a shame they didn't make them parts unidirectional to head of that possible issue, bit puzzling as I have found Nintendo to a bit better at hardware design in the past. I see some people have been saying the right controller is a bit of a pain to press the buttons when docked as well do to the thump stick, anyone able to confirm?

Bit late to post but got my Switch, BotW and amiibo on release day:

I managed to get the Nintendo Switch + Zelda + Mario Kart 8 Deluxe + Pro controller + 2 Steering wheels for under £400 so not sure the £500 figure is accurate. Even if you consider I got some discounts which were available to those who kept their eyes and ears open, it still would not be £500.

I don't see how that's possible, unless you got your Switch from GameSeek's amazing £198.50 deal. Zelda costs like £50, Mario Kart costs £40 at the cheapest and best price one might get a Pro controller for is £50, but let's just say £40 for Pro controller and Zelda. All those together are roughly £120 and add on the Switch at £280, that's £400. Ignoring the wheels, you're almost right but it does still seem around the £400 mark. Still seems a bit too much. But yeah, it's not quite £500.

I'm still adamant that the accessories really aren't worth their asking price and that the Switch itself could be a smidgeon cheaper. Too bad I missed out on that GameSeek deal or I could have had one.

I really want a Switch however right now I'm thinking I'll grab Zelda Breath of the Wild on the WiiU instead and see what comes and how it runs in the months to come

I have it on WiiU and it's pretty much a similar experience to the Switch. Occasionally noticeable framedrops playing on TV (same way as the Switch), but on Gamepad-only (AKA handheld mode) it's smooth as butter. The game finally arrived yesterday... at the start of the working week. Still had fun with it so far and I can absolutely understand someone buying a Switch just for this game. But not if one also owns a WiiU. In that scenario, just buy the WiiU version since you can already play it.

If you don't own a WiiU but want to play Zelda, buy a Switch for it. You might have to cough up extra for a pro controller, but it's understandable that folks would buy new hardware for one killer app game.

I'll probably get a Switch this time next year or even later. I'm hoping that they do a new version fixing the issues of the current version while having minor improvements and different colour schemes, kinda like the 3DS did. Or even special limited eidtion versions to celebrate the release of certain games (imagine a Pokemon Nintendo Switch).

Got my Switch and Zelda from Amazon Prime to get it delivered in the morning on release day, got £5 discount there. And no, Zelda is not £50 on Amazon. Got pro controller from very with £30 discount. Got MK8 and steering wheel from amazon when there was a £10 discount. Plus I get 1% back in cash back on my credit card which I always pay off asap and get the cash back and incur zero fees. I use credit cards to make me money, they never make money off me :p

There you go, see, I was not lying and it is possible if you kept your eyes and ears open as I said ;)

However if you need penny by penny break down and my invoices, I can do that to :p;)

Guys help!

Played my switch on the train this morning and got arrested when I got off. Apparently something to do with paedophilia?

Anyone know a lawyer?

Yes Elim, I know a very good lawyer, he actually specialises in paedophilia cases, you can contact him @purplesky

:p

Travelling down to the big smoke tomorrow, naturally need to take my Switch with me for train paedophilia.

Need a case, has anyone here got the Hori Tough Pouch? Any good?

Merged my Nintendo Network ID I had for the WiiU (only owned it long enough to play Mario Kart a good bit and Mario Worlds), found I had £6 credit in there for some reason so picked up Fast RMX last night, ended up playing it for 2 hours straight nearly, have always been a Wipeout fan and really enjoyed it, looks great and runs smooth as butter.

I was also thinking about the left Joy con, one of the noted concerns by Nintendo is other wireless devices, almost everything bar my phone and MacBook is connected via cat 6 cabling in my house, would removing other wireless interference really be that much of a help.

Just watched the above video...so many design flaws that I can't believe they got it through quality control.

I bet there is already a redesign in progress as they knew stuff like that would surface
