I bought the OoT dock sock (don't think I like the term, too similar to another sock term...)
Guess at some point I really will have to commit and actually buy the Switch. I was thinking of waiting, but with Nintendo doubling their order I get a feeling price dips are highly unlikely. Also, Secret of Mana and Sequel is a must have for me (though I hope a translated version of the sequel is released). Zelda had me tempted, and sad though it is, Secret of Mana sealed the deal (well, along with other aspects as mentioned below)
I don't know how much I will use the portable factor, though as I commute I certainly have ample opportunity, but even without that, despite the weaker specs the Switch is the obvious console choice for me simply because of the local multiplayer Nintendo tends to provide for, it is something the other consoles just don't compare to and something that seems underappreciated when people talk about the pro and con of the Switch. I mean:
Bomberman 8 players 1 Switch (don't care how shoddy the game is overall, 8 mates on this will be fun)
Mario Kart 4 players 1 Switch
Splatoon 4 players? 1 Switch
Secret of Mana & Sequel 3 players, 1 Switch
All I need them to do is bring out a Perfect Dark/Goldeneye type 1st person shooter for 4 player, 1 Switch play and I am covered for all my needs with friends.
