*** Nintendo Switch ***

RE2 was my favorite. Admitedly the controls were old school and clunky, but it was great. I just wish the RE films had been based on Leon as a char

On the phone with Nintendo PT now. They said the issues are "mostly" with the left Joy con and offered to take one or both, with or without the console. I have opted for everything to go as I'd rather everything was checked. They're going to collect it from my office...quite ironic :D (I work for Microsoft :p )

It's a little complicated as it was purchased under by my best man (so under his name) but they don't speak English so Ana has to call them on my behalf...fun times.

Will include a letter with proof of purchase, explaining everything, plus I have a reference number. The woman on the phone according to Ana was a bit of a ***** :D so we're not sure when it will be picked up, but we said it will be ready from tomorrow. So I'll box it up tonight and leave it with reception.

Did anyone get an email with a pickup date?

Anyone else have the joy con that slides straight off the console issue? Think the catch has gone despite using it in docked mode twice.

Yes bud, I've had this along with some sync issues a while back.
Called customer services who arranged a return. Printed off the labels and put it into a box along with a description of the faults.

Got it back some weeks later and the joycon slots in nicely and doesn't come out unless I depress the unlock latch on the joy con.

You don't need proof of purchase as the console was launched less than a year ago.

Bummer having to send the whole thing back. 120 hours in Zelda and 100 in Disgea makes me very nervous doing that!

Fair enough, the Swiss support told me it wasn't needed because of the launch date of the console.

Yep, although she didn't seem to understand that logic :p

Oh well. Switch is boxed up and on my desk. Not sure when it will be picked up but I'll leave it with reception during the day and collect it in the evening if it doesn't get picked up.

^ how do you check your hours? or are those estimations?

Once you have owned a game for 10 days if you go to your profile in the top left and view it it will show you the hours played against the game.

I am rocking up at close to 80 hours on Zelda now!

Lol i haven't owned a switch for that long :D thanks though. I haven't done much story at all in Zelda have just been plodding on with the towers and shrine puzzles. I find myself doing a few puzzles on the way to and from work and then i play the main game during the weekend when i have real time spare.

That a joke haha. That is like what a 5 minute walk?

Though i suppose i have something similar. A huge DPD/RM/PARCELFORCE depot within 5 minutes. Am i allowed to collect from any of them? DM is the only one and even then it's hit and miss with who is on the desk.

My left joy con has a slight defect in that the SL has difficulty responding to input. It will, when pressed down hard, but compared to the rest of the similar buttons it's difficult to do so. I've tested it on the 'test input' menu and it's clearly nowhere near as responsive as the others. I noticed when playing with a colleague that when I went to throw an item, half the time it wouldn't actually make the command. Not cool when I've got a reputation to maintain :D

My question is how do I best go about getting this fixed? I bought it from TESCO Direct - the online shop - so will I have to send the whole system back? Or shall I just send the one joy con to Nintendo/TESCO?

I've updated and charged everything as per common sense, but a bit stuck as for what to do now.

Thanks for any advice in advance.
