*** Nintendo Switch ***

Well tonight I played a little and got to try out Splat Zones. Something I wasn't even really aware of! (despite it being mentioned on the previous page)

Another game type I am enjoying :) - there were some matches where I was dominating and getting 20+ kills in. And others where we got creamed :p

One particular match on the boat the enemy team got the upper hand early on and reduced their countdown/score (whats the proper name?) to 10 or so and we were still on 60. For a while there was a really neck and neck power struggle and then we managed to gain the advantage and took control. We went into overtime and we managed to hold it until overtime expired and got it down to around 15!

We lost, but my god we went down fighting :D

What a rush! Fell back into the sofa after that and let a long breathe and a "whoa!" - it was awesome. Haven't had this kind of PvP rush in years and years.

Oh, also noticed the circle on the floor indicating where someone was super jumping to. Thanks for the tip :D

Now you see why it's they only game I play :p

Have you tried the salmon run yet?

Indeed. At first I bought the game purely based on the promo material and took a gamble based on why the original was so popular.

Initially I thought "ok this alright, sure. Can be fun" but wasnt rushing to play it. This all changed as soon as I got to ranked battles. The game really goes up another level and gets the blood rushing. Not sure I'll go back to turf war at this rate :p

Despite the janky balancing in turf war. I can see why it's necessary to get to lvl 10 first before allowing you into ranked battles. Its like a big introduction into the controls, movements, fighting styles...without it ranked battles wouldnt be enjoyable for both those with and without the experience.

That reminds me of a launch PS Vita game that I really enjoyed. I forgot its name though.

Actually it's a direct copy, and they mention the name (motor storm RC) in the video :p

I bought a switch yesterday and now worrying that it can't play Netflix or Amazon prime videos like my Wii U does.
It's coming, but Nintendo haven't said "when"

Is the Wii-U the only device you have access to Netflix or Amazon Prime on?

I see this thing is on the verge of being hacked. Exploit released to the public and firmware dumped.

Guess it's only a mater of time before someone turns this into hacked firmware.

Might not be the worst thing in the world to happen, will certainly put a boot up Nintendo's arse to get things like virtual console and streaming services added.

I still don't see the point of having yet another device with Netflix & Amazon Prime. It's a great device for gaming. Would I want to use it for watching content? nope.

I wonder what the best way to play Mario will be. I see a fair few people using the joycons, one in each hand as some moves are pulled off with motion I guess like galaxy?

Pad if possible. It's the best pad i've used for 3rd person gaming and wees all over the joycons when it comes to control.

I'm still unable to justify the 50-60 for it :( may just be dodgy signal joycons for me :D

I tend to play everything handheld at the moment but this game will look great on the tv. I didn't have an issue with the joycons grip for the whole of Zelda so should be ok though I do know the pro controller is said to be the way to go!

Everyone who has trouble justifying that pad immediately regrets they didn't get it sooner after buying it :p

It's that good :D

I will jump on the first nintendo hack that allows me to back up my save data. Its a ******* joke that your save data is at risk in this day and age. Its even more of a joke considering the switch has known issues that require sending your console off with the real possibility that it will come back without your save data.
