*** Nintendo Switch ***

I just bought a switch, I was going to to hold out for a bit longer but what with Mario on the horizon I couldn't wait. I used the ORZLY screen protector as recommended on here, went on like a dream, never used a glass screen protector before, tempted to get one for my phone now.

Loving the system so far, only niggle I have is I wish they put a charging indicator/light on the dock.

It does have a charging light that goes green when the console is docked.

Bit late to the party (read: kitchen) with this one but grabbed Overcooked at the weekend when at a mates and we got some 4 player madness in - awesome fun and it sure does turn the heat up between "friends" haha

Shin Megami Tensei 5 coming to Switch exclusively.

Of the series I've only played SMT4 on 3DS but it was great, a really unique and solid rpg. I really enjoyed Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE on WiiU too (another Atlus rpg) so quite excited for SMT5.

Japanese website 4Gamer sat down with Super Mario Odyssey producer Yoshiaki Koizumi to talk about the upcoming game, but they also got into a discussion about the Switch's first and second years of content. The lineup for 2017 was/is a stellar one, with big-name titles hitting every month. What will Nintendo's approach for 2018 be? Koizumi had these tidbits to share.

- the beginning of a console's life is very important
- this includes both the amount of software released, and if people are satisfied with that content
- Nintendo released Switch in March to give people time to understand the system before holiday season
- Nintendo's games each had a different goal when showcasing elements of the Switch
- Zelda: Breath of the Wild let people feel the surprise of letting you take a home console-quality game on the go
- 1-2-Switch was made for explaining the Joy-Con
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is to let people experience the idea of sharing controllers
- Splatoon 2 is to convey the fun of local multiplayer
- ARMS is a way to show that Nintendo is also creating new IPs
- Nintendo put a lot of thought into the timing of releases like Super Mario Odyssey and Xenoblade Chronicles 2
- it was really hectic to make these titles fit just right into the schedule
- things are being constructing in such a way that the steady pace will be maintained for 2018
- Nintendo still has a number of IPs left to bring to Switch
- there should be many third-parties that will look into different ways of using the console

Don't forget to post photos of the game when it's arrived as nobody will have seen it before ;)

Also, required melodramatic post if the game doesn't arrive one day before.

I read this morning that the 4.0 update allows the usage of Gamecube controllers on the Switch via the Wii U adapter. Smash Bros. incoming? There is a Direct this week isn't there?
