*** Nintendo Switch ***

Played the first two hours. Really enjoying this so far. Graphically I don't see the fuss with handheld mode, it's looked pretty decent throughout. Docked mode honestly doesn't look like much of a step up to me either though neither mode will have you gasping at how good it looks. It's decent but no Mario Odyssey.

Going to pick Xenoblade up tomorrow, Nintendo have struck gold with the switch, its an amazing console and they are really backing it up with the games. Im yet to try Mario !! My one x and ps4 pro are hardly getting a look in at the moment!

Would love to see Xenoblade X release :D

I was going to wait but... screw it, I'll find the time somehow lol.
Review wise it seems about on par or slightly ahead of Xenoblade X which is great, I was a little worried due to it releasing this soon.

Speaking of X, I was just looking back through some of the screenshots I took - I think one thing I'll definitely miss is the mechs(skells)!.

X was a fine moment on the Wii U, shame it was overlooked, best looking game for me on the system :)
My copy comes tomorrow, from pictures I still prefer the look of X at the moment so will be interesting if I change my thoughts once it’s on the big screen

It lools like a scaleable resolution in handheld mode and in some of the larger busy areas it gets pretty pixelated.

I was about 5 hours in before trying it in handheld mode right in the middle of one of these large areas so maybe why I found it so noticeable.

Heart & Slash Coming to Switch Before End of Year

Here is an overview of the game:

71 missions, 135 pieces of equipment, 6 selectable characters and 93 different enemies... with roguelike mechanics: random generation of maps, items and enemies. Every game will be a whole new adventure!

Put yourself in the "shell" of Heart, a robot that doesn't function properly and struggles to maintain its identity against standardization henchmen. Along the way he meets Slash, a veteran of the dystopian world in which Heart & Slash takes place. You'll have to try and get Slash's attention, but how to do it will depend on the player. For every' challenge (every chance to impress Slash) you'll have a couple of opportunities that will end up defining the relationship between them and how the story ends. Will you choose your independence, or will you renounce to it in exchange for being loved? Or maybe you'll find a balance between the two that will allow the relationship to thrive?

Key Features:

Fight using up to 75 different weapons and 60 different robot body parts that will change the way the game goes.
Teleport, stop time, fly with a backpack, jump against the wall, discover the weaknesses of your enemies... You can try thousands of different combinations to achieve your goal, from almost unimportant details to play back parts of the story to try to change the result.
If you die, try again from the beginning. As with any good roguelike, every time you start a new game, both the levels of fighting and the items or weapons you collect will change. In this way, a game will not be the same as the previous one, which makes Heart&Slash not an easy game.
A unique artistic and visual style that will take you back to classic games.
It offers a fast-paced and very dynamic gameplay system, with almost no time to take a breath, thanks to its short and intense levels.
Heart & Slash is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.

4Gamer: Just as Xenoblade Chronicles on Wii was made available on the New 3DS, are there any chances we’ll see Xenoblade Chronicles X on other hardware?

Tetsuya Takahashi, Monolith Soft President: “Personally speaking, there are times I feel like playing Xenoblade Chronicles X and think about how nice it would be to play it on the Nintendo Switch. Of course that will depend on demand and such, but I will think about it while discussing future plans with Nintendo.

Yeah same, I really liked the look of X.

Xenoblades 2's engine is doing more technically, especially with regards to lighting and shadows.
I've just started playing 2 and visually it feels more consistent and polished than X. I'm unsure if I prefer it stylistically yet as I'm only 2 hours in. They've sorted out the character modelling issues from previous games though, they look great!
