*** Nintendo Switch ***

Personally I am looking forward to the next Nintendo Direct which is rumoured to be in January. Once I have finished Mario and the Zelda DLC, there are no "big" titles in the future that are coming with a concrete release date which interest me currently. I think once I finish these 2 though I'll probably pickup stardew valley :)

I'm looking forward to the Direct too. The Bayonetta announcements were a nice surprise last week so hoping we get more from PlatinumGames next year. I'm hoping for something by FromSoftware soon as well. Oh and perhaps some Kirby, Yoshi and Metroid release dates! So basically I want everything and I want it now.

Bayonetta hold no interest for me. I know those who have played them have really enjoyed it. But I don't think its for me!

I have never played Bayonetta and I'm not sure about it but the reviews it has received over the years are quite amazing. I might have to try it

Nintendo are announcing games close to release at the moment. It's a smart idea as you end up buying currently released games rather than holding out for future games.

I have both in the special edition on the wiiu but I've never played them! I'll probably get them again on the switch as the console has really got me into single player games again.

Yep! It's fine for me. The e-shop has plenty of smaller titles that can keep me ticking over anyway!

button basher? pfft, you're doing it wrong :p.
Seriously though, these games are quite intricate and you won't get far mashing, once u know how to execute/time things properly you're not really pressing buttons that rapidly at all.

Bayonetta is a big a franchise as just about any for me, I get as excited for it as I do for a new Mario game.

Sorry if this has been asked recently. I picked up a Switch for the kids for crimbo. Is there a sizeable update needed when I turn this on for the first time? Nothing worse than getting a new console set up and waiting for half a day to update. Only a 4meg line so thinking about getting it set up ahead of the big day. Cheers.

No.

There are updates, of course. But you won't wait long for it do download. Its nothing like XBO or PS4.

I read a comment on another forum this morning about a new Switch owner who mentioned that they were amazed that from unpacking they were playing Zelda in less than 5 minutes. There will be some but they are really small compared to what we are used to.

Thanks for the replies. Have been caught out before with a huge update on a new console. Looking forward to getting it set up. My son loved Mario Galaxy on the Wii and noting has equalled it since. Hoping Odyssey will be the answer!

That's because Nintendo don't release broken games that require massive patches, there day 1 polish on the AAA titles is second to none imo
