No Zelda was announced as in development the following year and was not even officially revealed until 2 years after the Wii U's launch. Zelda would not have made it out in time to save the Wii U from droughts regardless so it's irrelevant.

, you've completely changed the landscape of this conversation.
When it comes to "AAA" though, it's a loose classification for what are 'high budget' games (i.e. it's not clear where the line is). I'm not sure games like Everybody's Golf, mavity Rush 2 and Hidden Agenda would really qualify(budget wise).
You should also compare Nintendo to more companies than just Sony if you want to make an argument that Nintendo barely release any games.
If you don't agree that Nintendo are among the top developers/publishers in the industry when it comes to software output then there's nothing I can argue to convince you otherwise.
