*** Nintendo Switch ***

Thanks guys, my last handheld was a PSP which I actually enjoyed. Will be a fair distance from the TV so hopefully, the jaggies won't be painfully noticeable.

I sit roughly 6-7 foot away from my 4K TV and I think it looks fantastic on the Switch, that was my biggest concern, that the upscaling would be really poor. I was very wrong.

I am really itching for a travel dock so I can plug in at work and squeeze in some time when I have it at lunchtimes but alas, none are out which I can fully trust. I don't fancy buying another Nintendo dock just to butcher and turn into a portable one either!

Just turn your current one into a portable dock for about 50p by 3D printing a shell and transplanting the internals.

It much better than the standard dock and very portable.

But I like my standard dock :)

Then it means unplugging/replugging everytime. I dont want to do that either.

Does this 50p include the cost of a 3d printer ;)

What 3d printer have you got by the way?

I used 50p of plastic on my mates 3D printer. There are also many services that will print and post your model for a few quid.

That takes literally 2 seconds! Once you've used a different form factor dock you won't ever want to use the stock one again.

That looks incredibly unstable, like the slightest knock would send it flying?

It's much more stable than the stock dock which is very easy to knock over in the front/back axis. Not that it ever seems to be an issue people have come across.

Sure you could triple the size of the base if you need it to stay up if you give it a swift kick but my kid hasn't managed to knock it over yet.
