To buy or not to buy Skyrim in the sale...

Played it to death before on the Xbox, anyone else done that and gone back on the switch?
I would play it again too at the right price but for me the sale price is still on the high side for a game I've played a fair bit of many years ago.

But if you will get a good amount of time out of it, it may be worth while

Exactly what I’m thinking, needs to be more like £20/£25 at a push
£25 physical and I would bite and move it on afterwards :)

Anyone know the actual end time for the sale? 5th of April so tomorrow but not sure what time of day! Pay day tomorrow so may make a last minute impulse buy if I can

I’m thinking the same I’ve had it on xb360, pc and PS4 but seen as the next instalment is years away I may end up getting Skyrim again! I’ve tried elder scrolls online but it’s just not the same

I'm thinking of picking a Switch up whilst the GPU market settles down.

I'm a huge fan of Zelda and 100% them, so that'll keep me entertained for hundreds of hours I expect.

Do it, it's a masterpiece. I am still finding little things that amaze. The game world works exactly as you would expect it to, the mechanics are so tight it's incredible. I hope the development team had a nice all expenses paid holiday after they finished! Good luck with the 100%... there some things that you are bound to miss without looking online :D

Started Mario odyssey yesterday and I feel like a kid again playing Mario 64 for the first time, Nintendo just seem to have that magical stardust that nobody else has

Yeah I'm already sold on it, it does look amazing and I am pretty much spolier and gameplay free for the most part.

Gonna be next month's paycheck though, already got this month's paycheck earmarked for CPU+Mobo. :D

Oh just do it. What's the worst that can happen? Apart from being skint :)
I must say I used to buy a lot more games than I do now but lately I try to make sure I'll enjoy it before I do :D wasted so much on cheap pc game deals to just never actually play then :) but I think you are right, can't go wrong at £10-12ish :)

*went for it ;) one thing I've noticed when buying on the switch with my saved debit card is that on the confirmation page near my card number it says Germany? Not sure what that's about

No idea on the Germany thing but yeah what's a tenner? Tons of fun to be had with the RER games.
:) looking forward to trying it!

I "think" I'm enjoying Axiom Verge so far. I'm not too sure where to go as is the case with many metroidvania games I guess! I'll return to some older areas and see if anything's changed

No that's normal. You can earn extra BP points there to spend on weapons and ammo in Raid mode.

I also got lost in axiom verge and moved on to something else. When I am done with Owlboy I think I will go back to it.

I think impulse buying on the Switch is better than something like Steam because even with a small amount of free time you can just be sat having lunch or whatever and you can just be playing something in seconds. Whereas on PC there is always a ton of other things to consider and you almost always end up doing something else. Most of the indie games I've played have been completed in repeating short 20-30 minute bursts.
