*** Nintendo Switch ***

£250 sounds likely from Nintendo. I paid what seems like a daft amount of money for a 'new 3ds' about 6 months ago. Was shocked how crap the graphics and resolution were in 2016 and how plasticy it was. Felt like a toy. Had fun with the games but it was laughable in terms of making adults feel they are getting something with 'value'.

I suppose it is a mere toy really - but it feels silly that iOS games look better.

It's amazing to think the gamecube started at £129

Exclusives. Most people are gamers not PC gamers. Why tie yourself to a single platform?

You're saying the reason people want to play multiplatform games on an inferior platform despite owning the superior one, is because of the exclusive games the inferior platform offers

I'd buy a multiplatform title on the switch if I knew I was going to get my money's worth from the fact the system can be used as a handheld, otherwise I'd buy it on the platform that it performs best on.

As a WiiU owner, im quite interested in the backwards compatibility aspect given they have briefly shown off Splatoon and Mario Kart 8, I hope they talk about it tomorrow

Friend of mine told me he read a leaked staff memo from Best Buy and it noted that 15 games were to be stocked/shelved for release.

So what do we know people?
is it a tegra chip or is it pascal?
what will we end up with something decent performance wise
or let down from all the hype regarding the switch :)

So what do we know people? Currently. It's Nintendos new console :p
is it a tegra chip or is it pascal? We don't know. There are rumours and speculation but nothing confirmed until tomorrow.

or let down from all the hype regarding the switch :) That depends on your opinion of whats decent, surely? ;)

well to be fair i have a Wii u and i love it and loved the Nintendo games that came out for it.
so being a kid from the 80's and always being Nintendo
whatever they bring out i will enjoy.
i have always loved Nintendo games there just fun easy and pick up/put down type of games. :)
and big spoiler alert is there will be a New metroid game
via a big developer, so interesting times ahead. :)

WHAT??!!?!

Sauce?!

Oh yeah - where's the WiiU version we were all waiting for ;)

*swap Metroid Prime with a bunch of other titles and it still applies :p

It was almost certainly in development, but 5 WiiU users isn't enough :p I would bed the target has been switched to Switch as lead platform, maybe with a WiiU version with crossover elements...

A 1st person shooter metroid with halo esq (sorry to compare metroid to halo! I really am) online multiplayer player, would sell like crazy, infact, thinking about it, with the the past 2 Nintendo consoles there has only ever been Mario Kart Wii and Mario Kart 8 and Splatoon that has had online multiplayer the focus, that's actually pathetic really

Why wouldn't it be? The Switch won't notice the difference between a home WiFi network and your phone's one.

It will be a laggy mess, but you can currently do it on the 3DS and the WiiU so it should also be possible on the Switch.

Well through the grapevine today, Emily Rodgers is claiming one of the wii u ports.... Is no longer a port. As in its a new game for the switch. It's not looking like Mario Kart, so possibly Splatoon? Pikmin? Roll on tomorrow!
