Not quite. Even Xb and PS versions of the same games are cheaper. I understand First party Nintendo games being top dollar as they have always been the same and to be fair,hold value well but that should not be the case for third party sports games.

ALL games on PSN are overpriced. You cherry picked an example there when we all know you can get a hard copy for £40.

To be fair I think all digital copies on any platform are usual overpriced on release with XBL and PSN hanging onto those crazy prices for far too long. My problem is with hard copies and the fact Nintendos games always cost more. Thinking about it, I suppose there is the cartridge that will bump up the cost but its still hard to swallow.

Dont get me wrong though, I love my Switch and the first party games are great but its hard to justify buying third party games on it in the future is all.
 
Anyone ordered from the online Nintendo store before?

I placed an order early this morning and it still says 'processing', is that normal?

There are several Switch games that have online vs friend functionality already, and many Wii U games had the option too.

Nintendo could certainly be part to blame for not having a system level lobby/invite system, meaning developers have to do a little extra work on their end, but seems this is mostly on EA.

Some other modes are missing from the Switch version too, it just seems that time and/or budget was limited and some things had to be cut.
 
@oldestrgregg: I didn't cherry pick it I assumed when you said £50 you were talking digitally so I compared it to PSN where it fairs quite well - though still too expensive. Physical is a bit steep agreed - most retailers milk it on new hardware. Maybe we're seeing a bit of that too.

I've been saying to myself for a while I hope this comes as I really don't like playing these type of games on my PC/Console, now i can play it on the go! Awesome :D

Would be great! The gamecube one was spot on

Golf Story seems really cool! The actual golfing mechanics are really fun with a decent amount af variables to consider when taking a shot. Great humour and charm. Only played an hour but looking forward to continuing tomorrow!

great to hear! did you buy it from the UK eShop? What is the split of RPG / Golf please?

I'm only about an hour in, and that's consisted of a fair bit of golf but it's really well implemented. There's challenges to do to earn exp and level up your stats etc. It's really neat, I hate all sports in real life and games and I'm really enjoying it :D I'll come back later with more impressions if you like

THIS! We are getting Kirby, we are getting Metroid, we are getting Mario all thats needed now is Donkey Koing and F-Zero and maybe Star Fox. Come on Nintendo you know it makes sense!

Golf Story - I am intrested in this, after all the postive feedback i may purchase!
 
Any of you guys travel a lot with your switch? Started working offshore, it seems like the ideal companion though I have worries on it being damaged in transit. So on the look out for a really durable travel case if you have any recommendations...
