*** Nintendo Switch ***

Missed my stop on the tube this morning due to concentrating so much on Snake Pass!

God damn you Nintendo! :P

Going to start taking my switch to work for break times I think. So need to get a case. Sorry I know it's asked every now and then, but I'm after a decent level of protection but also to be able to use it without taking it out. Small as possible, it's not for travel just to take the unit to and from work

Any suggestions?

2 hours a day and being an adult... yes? That's like sparing ALL your other weekday R&R time for Splatoon! It would be like watching a whole film every single day. Not impossible but quite the time commitment. l recall that @Kreeeee doesnt work 5 days a week, sensibly (living the dream), so I'll let him off.... although that is still a hoooge amount of time!

Sounds like a sensible way to spend time :)
Personally my typical post work routine is 60mins-90mins for dinner & tv, followed by about 2 hours of gaming. Add in weekends, if nothing is going on, could easily manage 10 hours gaming across the two days even with breaks for walking dog, going shopping, watching a film and tv shows - add in Friday night as well and there is probably another 3 hours for doing whatever :)

Due to extra gaming time on weekends, a '2 hours per day' average could easily mean a fair few nights not actually playing at all.

Despite all this game time I manage to game, aside from Zelda I have not used the Switch much (though have enjoyed Bomberman when mates are around) as most of my gaming is still on the PC.

I admit, I do have an advantage that my wife also games which means gaming is also me doing my husbandly duties of spending time with the mrs. :D

Well I've nearly finished Snake Pass. 85%-90% on lvl 14 and then its just lvl 15 to go and I'm done. Mario is out in a couple of weeks almost so I'll hold off buying anything else and invest more time into Splatoon 2. :)

You've done well! Have you done everything without guides?

Soon you can go for triple S+50 rank on Splatoon online :p

Yes. There was one particular coin that i nearly cracked and looked for a guide for as I went around the whole freaking level 3 times and couldn't find it. Got it eventually when I missed something which was almost blatantly obvious!

Totally understand what you mean about the change of play in the last levels. It adds a certain element of luck rather than skill in a lot of instances which can make it frustrating. Not impossible. Just frustrating and hard!

Pfft doubt I'll ever get S+50 :p I am "ok" at Splatoon, but get trumped by a lot of players especially when fighting them at higher levels which limits my progress. I think I am lvl 9 at the minute. Really itching to do matches other than turf war!

Turf war is a bit weird in Splatoon as the weapons are all balanced for ranked mode.

Do you already know what you get for completing Snake Pass?

Buy the Hori Tough Case, nice sturdy case which covers the machine nicely.

Going to pick my switch up tomorrow, £319 with Fifa 18 at Argos.

Couple of quick questions...

As I'm told you can basically use any regions store, is there anything to stop me say, buy BOTW on the yank store and theoretically pay less?

I plan to get a Magic-NS, use either my wii U pro controller or DS4, anyone had any issues with it? The price of the pro controller is shocking.

Storage wise, what are you guys finding is the ample size SD card?

Anything else I should invest in besides the usual screen protector, carry case etc...?

Cheers :D

You can buy a US Zelda, following instructions online.

Get the Pro-Controller, it is expensive but it is worth it. Everyone who has bought one says it is worth a pretty penny. You will end up getting it eventually so might as well get it now.

SD card I got the 128G ones, best bang for MB. the 200G one is next good value but 256G is a bit too expensive.

Screen protector wise, get the glass ones.

Also, get a Anker charger.
