*** Nintendo Switch ***

The online, while not expensive, doesn't really offer me much. I want cloud saving but that's it. NES games, sorry, no interest.

Nintendo need a PS+ or Origin like model option for me to bite. Or a killer app MP game. While Spaltoon is probably awesome and Mario Kart is good (the races I've had were surprisingly good), it's not as fun cheesing a win over an internet randomer that you can't even hear them swear bitterly :D
As I understand it the selection of games will grow over time and likely they will add SNES and other consoles games eventually.

The online sub is worth it to me because I play MP so much. I barely touch PS or XBL and I am thinking of cancelling them altogether. The monthly games from those services are pretty dire so I won't be missing much. As above I am pretty sure we'll end up with more than just NES games from Nintendo's service down the road.

Not too bothered about cloud saves but I would like my digital purchases linked to my account.

I'll be catching up on my single player games when they charge for online. In 6 months I'll see if any decent multiplayer games are released or they offer SNES games or digital discounts as party of the service.

Smash Bros is just the Wii U version so online will be terrible.

You'll get Splatoon 2 withdrawal!

I'm not fussed about Smash.

Errr isn't it the Wii U version that is so heavily tweaked/changed its beyond the point of calling it a Port and is arguably its own version?

Also we won't know how the online is until its out :)

No it's the exact same engine with frame data changes. The online flaws are tied to the engine and can't be fixed as roll back (ggpo) net code is not supported. Any fighter without roll back net code is disgusting online.

Won't pretend to know the finer details of what this means. But I know I'll be reserving judgement until I get it :) - still a Day 1 purchase for me.
