Nissan GTR Owners and Lovers Thread

The lightening bolt front lights and circular rear lights are OEM on the 2014 onwards :) They do look nice but the rears are about £700 and fronts about £1500-2000, considering how little of them you actually see I don't know why people swap the older ones for them!

That blue car has had them retrofitted though as its not a 2014 car.

Cheers just seen them, they look fantastic imo! Was wondering when they were going to go down the route of integrated DRL's. That is a hefty price tag though. If I just blew 50K on an example that didn't have them, whats an extra 2k? :D

Slightly damp conditions for a drive yesterday. I was in the middle of these three.

Was a mixture; 4 GTRs, 996, 997, Vette, R8, M5. Couple of photos in the daily encounter thread. Was good fun, just a shame it was wet the entire time as you can never really put your foot down!

Thanks guys :D

Well, I have been pondering it for a long time. The stock suspension was pretty stiff but just right so for me I was very conscience of not wanting to ruin the ride. Also the front splitter is pretty close to the ground around (90mm now) and more worryingly the exhaust and rear difusser just infornt of the rear wheels is only 75mm off the ground. I have to get over speed bumps around my house.

So it was either get the Meister R coilovers for £750 and have adjustable everything and fingers crossed I can set it soft enough, or go for the Tien lowering springs (£170) which have a poundage rating a bit stiffer than stock but not as stiff as the coilovers. So I went for the springs, the thinking being I could sell them on if they were rubish. As it turns out they are good! Rides much the same as before just when you hit a big bump you feel it more. The height lets me get over the bumps albeit slowly, it just rubs the splitter a fair bit getting off my drive as its a bit of a slope.

That blue skyline is absolutely stunning, what a lovely colour.

Kindai yours looks fantastic too. I think the GTR is one of a handful of cars that can pull off grey well.

Yeah the GTR in grey is stunning.

Everytime I see kindai's pictures I've have to have so much self discipline not to blow my savings :|
