No Man's Sky - Procedural space game

Publisher decision most likely, ridiculous really.

e: Just realised they're publishing it themselves, therefore a distributor decision?

Some people will try to pirate a game/movie regardless but I do think publishers shoot themselves in the foot by not globally releasing stuff.

The amount hype there has been for this game is a bit crazy but people are itching to try it out and I bet many folks won't be prepared to wait 3 extra days for the official UK release and will trying to get hold of it my other means.

Did you see the mess up Amazon had with Uncharted 4? They had the games in the warehouse well before release and started shipping them to customers as someone forgot to update their system with the new date (10th May)... lol.

After been bitten in the bum by quite a few games I've purchased I'll be waiting at least a month to see what the forums are posting. Reviews are all good and well but if you're bored of it after a couple of weeks then there's no point in buying it.

of course Star Citizen will blow it out of the water, Star Citizen should blow everything out of the water judging by the budget, time and dev team that's working on it.

But regarding the game, yeah ill be playing it, casual relaxing game, not got many of them in my library. I think it has great potential, whether or not it delivers is another matter entirely as we are all aware of by now.

Looks to me like it could slake my curiousity thirst...
Adventure and exploration (even with little other gameplay) is right up my street so I'll be there early on just to see what I can see :)
(will probably go on my YouTube channel too!)

I'm tempted and will keep an eye on it but... it looks like it could get boring with no clear goals. I understand that some would love to have a sandbox within which to make their own stories but I'm not sure I'd be sufficiently drawn in by it.

Edit: Also, somebody is likely to drop by to point out that there's already a thread for this game ;)

I will be waiting a few months to see what the feedback is, everything I've seen so far harks of tech demo rather than enjoyable game to me. So will wait and see what people say of the gameplay rather than the concept and aesthetics

:o

I think I was closer to spelling it right before spell check intervened.

But yeah, looks a decent game, just hopefully doesn't get old quick and there's enough stuff to keep you going :)

Actually quite looking forward to this one. It didn't interest me at first but there's something about it that intrigues me. Certainly has the potential to either be incredible or fall flat on its face.

Also, while it might not be a graphical powerhouse there is something aesthetically pleasing about the visual style.

I won't be trusting reviews either as the quality of those has gone to crap. Too many people jumping on the hype bandwagon with a few notable recent games and I get the feeling this may happen here. I'll wait for a decent amount of user feedback.
