Still intrigued by this game but that it's still 39.99 on steam even after everything is a bit of a bummer. At £20 think more people would be willing to try it now. But I guess they need to sell as high as possible considering the launch refunds

Can anyone speak to the games performance? Does it run well now? I'd love to run it at 4k I bet it really pops

we get silky smooth shenanigans. i hope. and i remember loads of FoV complaints on ps4 at launch, so i assume we can increase that on pc?

Yep, both on land and in a ship, it is silky smooth as well. Looks OK atm.

I assume the game is 30fps on PS4 Pro?

While GTX1070 with Sandy Bridge 4ghz would net me 60fps ?

Ran really well (after the initial patch to fix some stutter) on my GTX1070 and 4820K easily over 60fps for the most part.

Downloaded, going to start fresh in normal mode and enable that base sharing malarkey to see how it goes.

The update is certainly going in the right direction.

Yep, it's the normal mode for starting off with nothing and having to craft everything from scratch, let the grind begin !!

can someone explain what the multiplayer is if the update is live? willing to buy for £16, even if it's just once or twice played, but would like to know if i should get the partner to get it too at this price for some coop style exploring

AFAIK you can see the other players as an orb, I think it might be real time. Think of them as ghosts in driving games. I don't think there's physical chat or even chat yet though.

Yes the update is live, I am on the experimental branch.

plan on playing with a controller, functions fine but looking around seems to stop, slow down, and speed up as if the cursor is getting stuck ?
