No Man's Sky - Procedural space game

Eugh, it's times like this that make me ashamed to be a PC gamer, with people flooding Steam with negative reviews with 0.2h of play time, "wurzt gam evarr"

Would you be ok with the game crashing and playing at 20fps? Would you give a positive review?

If I bought a game that wouldn't start, or was practically unplayable due to performance, I would feel it an obligation to warn others about it.

when you spend £40 on a game though and have it broken on launch and just a naff experience, then that's always going to happen. These products should be finished, tested and fun right off the bat with a a great initial experience.

Mine is a bag o' crap too - gog version.

BTW, anyone know where the gog version stores it's saves. I like to periodically upload them to my dropbox.

Requested a refund. Expected the PC version to be better than this. Played a few hours on PS4 the other day and it was Ok - I enjoyed what I saw.

I'd kinda talked myself into buying this so - came home, turned on PC, Win10 appears to have had the mother of all wobbles after an update, spent an hour trying to save it, gave up for the re-install, didn't buy NMS at launch, probably for the best.

:D

PS - I'm sure it will be fixed eventually.

Initial impressions at 3440x1440p.

Graphics are not good enough, looks more like 1080p stretched over the screen and all text boxes & text are too large like they're just stretched at the original resolution.

I do like the mechanics and exploration so far (left the opening planet and made it to another) Have to go out so no more time this evening but the graphics are a real let down to me.

Really liking it so far, great atmosphere. Solid 60 fps and no stuttering here. There is a bug with the some of the texture rendering where it shows as boxes (I think it's a bug) but otherwise glad I purchased. :)

Ah alt tab doesn't work :P

Wondering how many of the problems are due to multi-threading, I'm absolutely sure on PS4 it's going to be thrashing all 8 cores to generate the world. People running good/bad, how many cores you running?
