No Man's Sky

:( I can see why that happens, how many planets have you visited?

The fact that there is nothing to do is what I love most about this game, as odd as that sounds. I love that there is no pressure to have to do anything, to keep up with my friends or quests/side missions to get overwhelmed with. It's literally as little or as much as you like.

I've been kept busy mining for a good ship, I keep seeing 40 slot ships come to the large trading post on the planet I'm on for 5 million units, I'm basically there so once I've upgraded to that, I'll be warping to the next system. Still in search for those rare elements for more money! I love scanning new planets as well, finding out the conditions and the life found on it then going out looking for it, this planet I'm on now has 2 species and that's it, I'm yet to see either but keep hearing them at night, and getting tremors to suggest they are underground

I feel the games needs more interaction with the aliens you should be able to reply to them or they should give you quests, exploring is all good and that but theirs needs to be a added challenged to the game. The space flying is lacking their is not much to see or to explore while in space? It would also be nice if you were able to map out what you have already explored in the planet.

Has anyone had a proper go at attacking the massive ships around? Curious as to what's in them.

Looking at the PC screenshots I am very very tempted to switch platforms. FOV goodness...

Nope but they did send out a distress signal as they were under attack by AI ships.

Sat in a station waiting for the right ship to buy with my 2 mil. Needs to have a bubble cockpit for easier exploring, and look badass. May take a while....

Some big ones around, nearly pulled the trigger a couple of times now...one that was *almost* Eagle 5 the Winnebago with wings from spaceballs:D

Yes i'm loving this game, i've upgraded my multi-tool, now it as 19 slots loads of installed tools, i'm doing some industrial strip mining of a planet i found loads of columns of gold scattered around this planet, sell for loads of units, exossuit as 18 slots atm, so filling my pockets full of gold.
Built my hyper drive and made the warp cells, so i'm ready to blast of to another system if i want, but loving strip mining this planet or is a moon who cases, its all mine, mine mine mine, oh and this planet as nothing that wants to eat and kill me unlike my starting planet, unless you start to **** off the sentinels, but you can just run from those.

How do you scan the planets to see the conditions and life forms.... I seem to have to land and exit the ship to see what the condition of the planet is.

Tip for ship hunters : there appears to be a set number of ship types per system. 8 or so, so don't panic if you miss one that looks good, wait a few minutes and one will come back. Don't like the look of em, move on.

Somebody, somewhere, has a winnebago with wings....

This game seems very underwhelming from the videos I've seen. It really reminds me of Spore. A game that was hyped and promised endless potential, but then completely failed to deliver it.

I mean beyond endless mining and upgrading, what's the point? Can we build our own colonies? Can we buy capital ships? Can we build space stations of our own? Can we terraform lifeless planets and develop its ecosystem and the life that lives on it?

So many things they could have done with a game like this. Its disappointing and I will not shell out £40+ on a game like this.

Not sure if bug or not but has anyone had the odd occurrence where they press launch to take off from planet, but it launches your ship into the planets outer atmosphere, so you basically have to re enter.

Yes. A lot. Seems to be totally random though as I can be taking off fine for hours then suddenly...Boom. Orbit!

Has anyone fell through the planet floor yet? Happened to me twice while mining a particularly large vein of emeril that went right down as far as possible.

Luckily, and for some odd reason, below the planet crust is filled with water so you can shift all your inventory over to your ship and happily drown knowing you haven't lost anything (unless your ship is full as well, of course).

Bizarrely you can see another planet down there :/

Hahaha the PC thread is hilarious. One guys uninstalled and requested a steam refund because he ran around his first planet for 40mins but then when he went into space it told him it was 3hrs to the next planet which is why he uninstalled :D
