No Man's Sky

Finished the Atlas path....

Doesn't mean jack unless you have 10 Atlas Stones on you at the time. That's pretty annoying. Where are you meant to store those while juggling all your inventory???

Surely some sort of banking system would have been in order, where you can store items away for later needs. Even if you have to pay a small sum to have them delivered to your current location later.

Yeah, there's no warning about it neither. You just get it thrown at you. Well.... I couldn't do it, so on I went with my journey to the centre of the universe. I'm now on the normal orange line path.

I find the sentinels are a bit to trigger happy on the high security planets.

I can understand them attacking on site if you do something not to their liking but they seem to attack me when I'm just wondering around, very annoying when your half way through an alien ruin monement quiz and they attack.

Think there's to many of them buzzing around as well.

I kill them on sight. Makes it easier.

I didn't realize i was following the wrong path i set out on until a friend told me, I was following the path to the core instead of the atlas path!
So I had to jump all the back got to the atlas interface and finally got the atlas ball again (i sold my first one by accident)

Has anyone noticed a white dot on the screen when flying around on a planet, not entirely sure what it is but it disappears sometimes, thought it was the ships aiming reticle but I don't think it is?

Yea i have its usually something on the ground, it was one of those platinum storage tanks when i came across it,

I've had something like that. Looks like a sort of marker/waypoint as in its in a particular 'place' in the sky when on a planet. But I've not got a clue what it is really.

Worth buying? How does it compare to the X series and how is the combat/trade system?

Easy or hard to get in to?

Its not like the X series the space flying and exploration in space is very basic so is the combat. Its more about exploring planets and farming resources to sell or use to upgrade your ship, suit, or multi tool (used for farming and shooting tool).

Each planet is randomly generated their are about 18 trillion apparently! so if you don't like the look of one planet go to the next one, the trade system is ok you just go to the space station or trade terminals found on planets the prices vary.

Supposedly 18 quintillion...even more than 18 trillion

On the subject of the dot with a circle waypoint/marker thing, I went to one and it was a base quite deep underwater that had flooded and the life form was dead. Picked up a blueprint for extra radiation protection.

Definitely not at the present price, not even worth the used value at moment, maybe consider it when it is £15-£20 which my guess it will be within a few weeks.

IGN presently have the unfinished review sitting at a 6/10 that seems generous if you consider the price.

Easy to get in to, and a marmite game. Some love it, some slate it!
IGN reviews aren't the be-all and ell-all.

I've been playing all day, starting to feel a bit guilty about not exploring a lot of these systems I'm warping through, following the Atlas path...
Each Atlas interface seems like a bit of a cheat, I'm learning so many new words from each one.
Love how easy going it is, no frustrations, just wandering around finding stuff.

Went on a bit of a dash for Atlas interfaces, upgraded hyperdrive can jump 6 or so systems in one go. Still waiting for that perfect ship, did find a nice one but it was 4 mil and I'm only in 2.5.

Still enjoying it, but then I didn't have any false preconceptions about what the game was going to be. Pretty much exactly what I expected, if anything there's more to do than I was expecting.
