No Man's Sky

On the star map you can select between:

1. Path to the center
2. Free exploration
3. Atlas waypoint

What are the other two options (currently greyed out) that you can select with R1 or R2?

If it's a huge spoiler then don't tell me :)

Yeh me too. Guess there is no way to go back and start the atlas path?

You can go back on the path just bring up your map and press R1 to change way points, one of the paths should have Atlas interface at the end of it end of it warp to that.

Probably been asked before but...

I got a new ship and so lost my warp cell :(

I now can't use my hyper drive to get out of the first system.

Am I stuck?
I can't craft antimatter and the space station doesn't sell it :(

Do you have the antimatter recipe?

The start of the warp cell production starts with 50 carbon and then moves from there

So long as you have the recipe's you should be ok. If not you need to find lots of Aliens and hope they give it to you as a reward

No, you can select anything you like. And if you (sensibly) told the atlas thing to sod off at the start of the game you are totally free to go where you like.

Managed to find a system that has a planet full of Sac Venom and another full of Graviton Balls. Plenty of opportunity for some farming, but those sentinels do not like it! Luckily I've found a trading post so can hop quickly between farming and trading.

TBH I haven't found the stability too bad, I have only had 1 lock up and that is in 30+ hours of play. Though saying it will make some people very happy suggests to me it is more than just stability.

Had a good night last night though, found a new multi tool that came with a lot of upgrades on it already and mines so quickly. Then found a cave with large amounts of Gold and Emeril mixed with finding about 5 Platinum depot's I made quite a bit of money. Which was a good job as also came across 6 or 7 drops pods and those things get expensive! Up to 31 slots on my suit and 26 on my ship so plenty of storage.

On the subject of ships, is there anyway to transfer a warp drive? I have only just got to the point of being able to recharge it. So I fully recharged mine but a waste if I can't transfer when I find a new ship.

Had at least 10 lock ups in the same time frame.

Unfortunately not :( It's a right faff. I swapped ships twice last night finding better ones and luckily I have the blueprints for everything to craft it so it's not too hard, but it's still annoying

I just dismantle what I can and leave the rest. I don't think you can transfer drives. At this early stage I'll take the extra slot over a warp drive - I am even considering dismantling broken items in ship inventory rather than fixing them now as I know that I'll just ditch this ship when I find another one. I just need it to fly and get to hyper speed. Inventory management is a pain but I am getting there (suit 23 ship 21).

Also I am trying not to spend anything because I know what's coming from the prices of some of the ships out there (I am only buying slots from drop pods)! I'm currently on a moon with gold everywhere so I might farm here for a bit now that I've got my new ship up and running.

Probably had 2 crashes back to dashboard in 25+ hours. No lock ups.

Gold is a pretty slow way to gain units. You want Vortex Cubes/Graviton Balls/Albumen Pearls. You usually only get them on fairly hostile planets, so find a cave system that'll protect you from the elements and go hoover them up.

Planet I'm on at the moment has loads of caves full of Albumen Pearls. Make about 5-600k on each jaunt to the trading post. If you're in the tunnels when you pick them up the sentinels don't give you too much trouble.

I'm still on my original ship, 13 slots. Just got Atlas Pass v1 from some dude. Another dude on the same off planet anomaly asked if I wanted to follow the path of Atlas. I did not, but he did point me to a black hole. So I'm on my way there. Saving up for a 25 slotter. Managed to buy loads of slots for my Exosuit (was on a planet where there were about 6 drops all close to each other), up to about 25 on there which is pretty handy.

Only had a few crashes so far, both in the same place (the loading screen flying through the stars). Second one, game spawned me underneath the floor, which was odd/funny.
