I remember my first ever build. I got all the bits bar the case from OcUK. Had to wait 2 or 3 days for the case. I feel Biffa's pain. It is agony walking past a pile of hardware I can't do **** with!
I felt the same while I was waiting for my new cpu to arrive when I killed the old one. Funnily enough though linux doenst seem to care if the chips IMC is dead while windows does
I did have 2 cards on rma now its 3, i know you said folding is a tad harder on the components but i was averageing 2-3 bsod per day. There is something fudamentally wrong with my setup and it's a process of elimination to find out the root cause. I will definately return to folding now it's a lot easier to set up just trying to get to grips with present problems
While others prefer to pay someone else to do the work
Hmmmm....so using the gpu tracker thingummywhatsitsbob is it just a matter of enable big adv and use all cpu's tick box's and thats it? Whats that add adv methods all about wot wot?
Ok lets make it easier, is this right or wrong to fold with gpu and adv?
"The advmethods option (yellow box) will enable the download of public beta WUs. This option can be useful for lower end Nvidia 400 series cards, since it can be used to change the WUs you get."
You might want to put a tick in the add -verbosity 9 box to get more info should a WU crash.
