blah just checked delivery estimates on my orders, the place i ordered the hdd from hasnt even taken payment yet and i chose free delivery (3-5 bussiness days) orderd it on thursday morning 3.40am haha and it arrived today at 6pm

anyway wedesday for windows 7 and thursday for the optical drive and thermal paste

ok right the copu is installed now. i was so nervous with this part, the locking arm is very stiff and i was concerned that i had dont somthing wrong, however the cpu was installed correctly (it only fits one way

) and when i took it out to inspect the pins they were still fine so i put the cpu back in and tried to relax.....

BIG PROBLEM!!!! the cpu cooler doesnt list my 1155 as compatable?!?!!?!?! it lists 775 1156 and 1366 for intel. god dam.

1156 and 1155 are the same for mounting holes don't worry, so it'll fit with the 1156 bracket!

Set it up as per instructions for 1156 and it'll fit

i dont think it is. the bracket has been adjusted to the 1156 setting but it wont go in. i think im going to have to go down to ocuk and buy one now

I know plenty of people with that cooler on 1155. Unless its missing some pieces!

right the brackets with the pins that go through the motherboard can be slid into different fitments, ive had to partially slide them between the 1156 and 1366 i think? it fits not but its not ment to fit. im going to buy the proper bracket later i i think

It should be marked on the backplate which is which, and if you're putting it in the right way should fit with 1156 as that's the same size as 1155

my mate had his computer built by overclockers and it uses the exact same motherboard and fan, unless ive orderd some weird version of this cooler (not from ocuk btw)

here is a picture of what ive done to make it fit.

do you see how ive slid it between the two settings. i think ive orderd the wrong cooler tbh i checked the one i orderd and its the one i received. this will hopfully work for now but i will be gettting a different cooler soon

Doubt this will help, but it might:

The bracket looks similar to my old cooler, in which 1156 was the middle setting. You've got to make sure the 'legs' stay straight for it to fit in the motherboard

That picture looks right to me... as you can still push it one notch up for 1366, so its on 1156!
