I enjoy the surge that a Turbo offers. Though it can get frustrating to be stuck out of the boost range.

I drive a 290bhp V8 atm which is great but still don't think I could choose either way.

Having said that, I've only ever bought NA cars, mostly because the inefficiency of large capacity engines means they're less popular and cheaper to buy! :)

What's annoying about it?

When driving normally you find yourself having to wait for boost to build if you need to speed up or go up a hill because you tend not to be in the right gear. If you are in the correct gear, though, the lag isn't very noticeable at all.

Can argue about turbo lag being the suck (boom tish ;) ), but then if your in a N/A car, and unless its got a reasonable sized engine of say 3 litres or above, then its got no real pull from low down in the rev range anyway.

Surely it's got to be less annoying than the equivalent NA though? If you aren't in the right gear then there just isn't anywhere near as much power. I'm just asking as it's probabaly going to be the upgrade route for me in a year or so as I drive an NA MR2. I was chatting to another owner and he said that his partners tubby in 5th from 70 left him behind when he had dropped down to 3rd in his NA. Even with lag I would think it beats an NA :p

I have driven an NA MR2 for a grand total of 1 mile so I can't really comment on them but I'm comparing it to my cars that I had previously that were all NA. To be honest I made it sound worse than it actually is; the only time I find it annoying is when driving normally and going up a fairly steep hill in 4th. I can either knock it down to 3rd and have plenty of off boost power or put my foot down and wait for the boost to build in 4th, which is what I usually do out of lazyness :p

I've owned mine for a little over two years now so I guess as I am more used to the car I forget how decently it performs. I'm sure if I were to go back to my Saxo tomorrow I'd miss my MR2's power instantly. You won't regret buying one :)

He's full of those comments on their other vids too... "Keep it up" "Settle yourself there boy" "Get some heat in those tyres" "Come on, let's go!" "Keep it flat, all flat, it's all flat!"
