NR200 Owner's Thread

Morning, As long as you know I was the 1st of turning the case over :D

That person also turned the front case frame around by
taking out the 8 black screws from the top left & right & bottom left & right
& also drilling out the POP-Revit's that join it to the motherboard frame.

Was going to do that but instead went for the Front I/O facing down.
did not want to weaken the structure & damage the case,
also the case side panel rail grooves out of place now & can't be used.

There's a drawback on having the case turned upside down that may effect some
is that the window side is facing your left-hand side on the table/desk,
In my CASE this was an advantage ;)

Hopefully, I will be finished today with my final AIO build layout
Feet not final & can easily be changed over in few mins, till I find the right sort.

Does the bottom dust cover still fit after fans have been installed in the bottom of the case? I can’t seem to find any pictures of this and I’m not sure the fan mount screws would get in the way and stop the bottom dust cover from sitting flush.

If the fans are installed inside the case then the mesh cover fits outside the case absolutely fine

Just realised this thread now has the 6th most replies of all (non-sticky) threads in this forum. The only "case" threads with more replies are the 'Akasa Eclipse 62', 'Phanteks Enthoo Primo', 'Phanteks Evolv X & P600', and 'Fractal Define' threads. And the NR200 thread is likely to overtake the latter three within a week or two.

Is this case really popular, or does @Darren_uk just spam the thread too much? ;):p

Yeh it will fit fine. Even something bulky like a cable tie will fit under the mesh - it's got some flexibility and is held in place by magnetic strips around the outside.

Little of column A, little of column B :D

Still have my Eclipse (although not an Akasa branded one), beast of a case! Shame I have no hardware big enough to justify using it for something!

Hate the tall legs sorry.

Cant get the case anywhere!

Is Overclockers getting them back in stock?

Out of the 60 odd ITX case in the past years I built-in, NR200P my most Excited ITX case build/Mod Project to date
The 2nd most Exciting was the Raijintek Metis & Plus ITX mod Project back IN 2014.
So yes, I have posted pictures a lot of times on my case/mod build/ update ideas ;)
As you know "case really popular"

Leave my tall legs out of it :D
legs very useful
Tell I find the perfect legs they will stay
Have some Legs coming from china to try out.

of course, OCUK will have them back in stock,
limited supply at the moment.

This case is fabulous. Easily the second easiest case to build in I have had.
Bar the USB 3 front connector, and the HD audio connector, I have no complaints about it at all.

Definitely not liking the feet (sorry @Darren_uk) but I like everything else that he has done in his build and understand the reasoning for them.

This is a great case, and an easy recommend to anyone wanting to go ITX

I have a Raijintek Metis. Black with custom 120mm hole in the top. This was done before they started shipping them with the hole already cut out.

Only built in it once and that only lasted a week! I would like to build in it but its very cramped indeed.

I def need a good SFX PSU. Corsair 450w should be enough for me as i use onboard GPU as not much of a PC gamer.

What is wrong with those connectors?

USB3 connector is huge (as it is usually is) but it is also really stiff and unwieldy. The fact it has 2 cables going into one connector is also annoying unless you cable them together (which I have).

The HD audio cable usually has to stretch to the far bottom left corner of the motherboard (at least on mine). There is not a lot of length on it to route it anywhere else other than down the front panel and across the motherboard. There is not enough length to go across the top of the case and down to the connector for where the connector is (at least for my motherboard). It needs be longer to allow for cable management whichever way you want.

Not the end of the world, but annoying (to me at least)

I don't think I ever used the HD Audio jacks in all the case builds.
always connect direct from a sound card or back I/O

Good news is you can disconnect the HD AUDIO cable from the front I/O PCB

It would be much worse if it was a single chunkier cable, as it is it's pretty easy to route imo. Can't recall noticing any issues with the HD Audio cable!

I had the same problem with the HD audio. I managed to get it tidy, but a bit of extra length would have made things easier.

I wonder which 3000 series GPU would fit in the NR200P? Because those Nvidia 3000 FE cards are HUGE!

All of them will fit without any problems. 330mm max length and 156mm max height, with support for cards up to (and actually slightly over) 3 slots in thickness.
