NR200 Owner's Thread

Thanks pinkfloyd, not finished as yet, but great to have ideas on where to place the cables. Just rushed it at the moment. Now I know how things fit together, will look to cleaning the look. :)

Deffo having the rad fans as intake and having the top fans as exhaust. This AIO appears to have a ton of additional cables for RGB, which im hoping I can hide at the bottom between right side panel and rad.

don't worry about a thing Bazzards, Everything's Gonna Be Alright ;)

I got all mine as exhaust, only Cable on my AIO is the PWM due to no RGB
2 fans at the bottom as exhaust work well for my Build, feel the heat coming from the
Vertical GPU,
on plus side also be a good hand warmer in the winter.
also no dust inside.

Cabling needs to improve indeed, however they will need the bottom fans as those are on the rad. I'd probably put them as intake though to get the cool air coming in through the rad, instead of blowing hot air through the rad.
Yeh not suggesting to get rid of the ones on the Rad at the bottom, just highlighting that having the top fans extracting hot air is more key than blowing air into the case. Top fans extracting and the rad in the bottom should work fine.

can i put a 120mm slim fan here so it helps the cpu cooler intake fresh air let's say i am using tg panel.
just wondering

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pk3QVZJ9YKQ good old Gear Seekers testing air cooling with mesh panel

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HcZxU_wlhB0 and Machines & More doing some air cooling fan configurations....also with mesh panel.

Someone needs to do a video like this but with the TG. Wonder if he could block off the mesh panel to mimic the TG?

Think i might of found my air cooler that Scythe Big Shuriken 3 looks awesome, never thought of looking at low profile coolers before. Watched a video from optimum tech and he rated it highly, especially with a noctua fan, think ill replace it with one aswell.

With the big Shuriken its made so you can easily place any 120mm fan on top

No, you don't have to worry about the size :)

Noctua does top-down coolers also that near same performance

Wow darren are you a shop. Have you tried the shuriken 3 yet, also i have looked at noctuas version and they only seem to have 92mm fan options plus they have arent 100% ram compatible either.

Darren (or anyone else really), are you able to measure the height space between GPU PCB and the fan at the top if using 25mm fans? From some of the air cooling tower pictures, it looks like there should be just about 120mm space there?

No need to measure the height space between GPU PCB and the 25mm thick fans on the ceiling
Plenty of space, the only thing you got to make sure of is the height of the CPU tower cooler:)
towards the side TG Panel or Mesh panel

Here you go to satisfy your Q,
space between GPU PCB and the 25mm thick fans on the ceiling around 180mm / 18CM :D

Can't make my mind up between the Big Shuriken and U9S Chromax when it's released, going round in circles trying to decide

The big Shuriken will cover memory if the vrm heat sync is to high so you have to flip it where the NH-U9S there isn't an issue but 92mm fan still worries me

big Shuriken 3 as more compatibility with taller memory
as stated in the video,
I purchased the big Shuriken 3 to use for A Vertical GPU mounted,
but now I am using the AIO & not use it.

I think you're maybe overestimating the benefits of a 120mm fan over a 92mm :p These two coolers aren't even close to the same performance.

I can't see much reason to buy the Shuriken unless you're mounting the GPU vertically. Just look at the last set of slides in the video above; U9S outperforms the C14S in the Ncase M1. And the C14S is MUCH larger cooler than both the L12S and BS3.

U9S shouldn't generally interfere with RAM.
