The screws you can see on the left are the screws for the fan, running through existing holes in the chassis. The right side doesn't line up with existing holes, and I didn't want to drill in to the chassis. So I used cable ties through the fan grille and existing chassis holes.

The mains cable now sits next to the top 120mm fan. While this works with the SX500-LG, other PSUs might need a different solution, as it'll depend where the power cable exists the top of the PSU.

Awesome, thanks man. I might give this a try if my case ever turns up!

On the subject, has anyone heard from Overclockers regarding stocks in the last week? I had a response but it was the same vague answer of "soon".

Looking Good @JClarke ! I just ran Heaven 4.0 with my 5600x and evga 3080 @ 1440p CPU and not sure which CPU temp people typically report. Is it CPU (Tctl/Tdie)? CPU Die avg? CCPU CCD? CPU Package? CPU?

I got 130fps, Score of 3256, quality ultra, tess extreme. CPU tctl/tdie avg 69, max 81

Time Spy 1440p DX12 - 14619 total score, CPU tctl/tdie avg 74, max 81.

Sure its within CPU tolerances, and maybe I'm used to my intel which ran much cooler. Going to check the mounting of the heatsink. Also considering getting one of those ID Cooling 224xt or 234ARGB coolers per Machines and More suggestion.

Am I making too big a deal about temps?

Ryzen 5*00 chips run hot, just get used to it :) They're pulling a lot of current into a very concentrated area so temperatures spike very quickly and even high-end cooling won't have them running at really low temperatures from what I've seen so far. I'd not stress about it unless you aren't hitting the claimed boost targets.

@Richard Holm What CPU cooler do you have now?

Also not sure what scores to report. I went with the Tctl/Tdie in the end. I have noticed the temperatures like to spike, hence you will get the max peak in the higher 70s or low 80s. But with average temperature under 70c, that is a very healthy level.

I am still going to try undervolting the 3080 a little to remove some heat generation from the case.

I got over it now. As long as it’s not hitting the thermal limit you should be good. The curve optimiser is pretty cool so give that a try.

Also long as I can’t hear my fan much during load, I’m happy. 1+ for the id cooling if your decided to go for that. I have the SE234 and it keeps my 5800x pretty cool.

Thanks for the insight @PinkFloyd

@JClarke I am using a Cryorig H7 Quad Lumi which claims to have a 160w TDP. I have only been monitoring the straight min/max/avg. Maybe those Max values are the spikes you two have mentioned and I've read about. I'm going to monitor a graph next time I game.

Just checked cooler and there were a couple turns left of the mounting screws so I tightened those down. I manually spread the NT-H1 thermal paste as well.

Saw the ID Cooling 224 and 234 on sale somewhere for $22-25USD so considered it a 'cheap' alternative, but if the temps are within expectation then maybe I should just keep the H7 =)

@tony888 it fit with the TG panel? Seems to be 50/50 fit or not. Did you need to use the screw?

I mean my h7 is dead silent. It was those 'max' values that freaked me out, but I'm thinking those are spikes, not sustained temps.

I get full 4.7 boost from what I've seen. What sustained temps should concern me? As long as its under 80 I'm good?

While I was in there I cleaned up the wiring a little, still considering ordering 3x 8-pin cables but maybe not. Seems pretty tidy for now. Also noticed some sag on my FTW3 so I 3d printed this little support. Bottom is hollow but I'll probably make one that you can use a fan screw to mount it to the slots in the bottom cover. It doesn't move due to the weight of the GPU and Im fine with that.

@Richard Holm fit perfect. And modifications made. I had to lose the top fan grill but that’s about it. Again it might be due to manufacturing tolerance.

As for thermal paste I followed noctua’s instructions on their YouTube page.
One blob in the middle and then smaller blobs in the corners. Using noctua’s h2 paste

Changed my fan curve to be a little more aggressive, avg after playing control for an hour was 74°c with spikes to 78-79. Nothing broke 80 so that is nice. Think I had my fan curve set too conservatively will hold off on another cooler for now.

@Eel8 also the Arctic P12 fans are solid as well. They just have a weird resonance at 1000rpm. But if you avoid that range you'll be good.

Yeah I undervolted my 3080 as well. 975mv @ 1905mhz. Dont think it ever goes above 69.

I see, luckily the Arctics currently out of stock so there goes my buyers remorse :) plus I'll have to import them and I found a local Scythe dealer so with those things considered, I'm basically paying the same.

That's really really good to hear about the 3080! Thank you so much, you have been extremely helpful.

Hi all, new to the thread and pre ordered this case last night. This will be my first ever build and I am weighing up the options between water and air cooling. Has anyone mounted an AIO on the left-side? (vertical GPU bracket). Just wondering what size works there? Also I was thinking of a chimney air flow system. What fans would you recommend for the bottom? Looking to get a 2.5 slot card and would ideally like a abit of room between fans and GPU. I have in mind 14mm thick fans for extra clearance? In an ideal world, I want two exhaust fans on top, two intakes at the bottom and a AIO intake on the left back side. Do you think this is a reasonable option? Appreciate any feedback and advice

Hey @Michael Reid welcome!

Several builds in this thread using the AIO on the side bracket with the mesh panel. The side bracket can support up to a 280mm radiator. Bottom can only support up to 240mm.

Bottom fans seem to be a hit or miss for people depending on the GPU. For most it seems to only decrease by a few degrees at best at the expense of more fan noise.

When you say left back side...do you mean the back of the case like where the Mobo I/O panel would be? If so, then you can only fit a 92mm rad there.

Thats the one! I was thinking of placing a rad on the I/O panel side and of course a block on the CPU. My desire is to use the TG panel, but I want to make sure I am achieving reasonable temps. Also, keeping noise levels bearable. Not feeling the vertical GPU mount as it takes up most of the display.

If I was confident enough, I would try my hand at a custom loop. It looks like there are plenty of options for such a small case. I should probably walk before I can run!

So erm. I got a 3080 stock notification and decided fk it if its in stock im just gona buy whatever it is. enough is enough. And low and behold I managed to button jam one and add to cart amd check out. Whoop. Then I noticed what I had bought Any idea if a "GIGABYTE AORUS GEFORCE RTX 3080 XTREME"!!!!! Will fit in my Nr200p?????

Im not certain it will. CM claims nr200 can support 330x156x60. Gigabyte says 319x140x70

Its the thickness of the card that is questionable.

People have fit the Asus TUF 3080 51mm + 15mm slim fans so thats ~65mm.

Maybe you can find someone to swap with?

Is this where we're at now, throw 700/800 notes at something and you don't even know what it is!?

Sorry but that's mental

I know the pressure of ordering a GPU/CPU is "too damn high" right now when you see it in stock these days but pretty weird to not know which GPUs may or may not fit and also to have a notification for something that may not fit. =/

Like I said @tripkebab maybe you can trade with someone who got a 3080 that'll fit. I've seen plenty of people swapping GPUs.
