Public indecency, defecating on a sacred site and abusing local guides. Going by the above sentence they will be getting off lightly just paying the fine or equivalent.

If you can't live by a county's code of conduct, remove yourself. It's just a shame we have let so many British values slide here, this might never have happened.
 
SO they were advised not to go through with the act due to the status of the mountain, a world heritage site and one of great importance to the local populace.. They did it anyway..

When in Rome... IDIOTS, they get what they get but at least they will learn to respect people traditions, sadly they need to receive that lesson the hard way. Hopefully the authorities will scare the b'jeebers out of them then give them a one way ticket out of the country.

We cant judge their culture / standard against our own.

Remember guys. No sex before marriage, no seeing your wife naked (just in case you get "urges") and if you must have sex it should be in the missionary position and just enough to procreate.

I agree, our british values have slid so much, we really should go back to traditional values (read Victorian values - the 19th century and Christianity have a LOT to answer for :()

I don't think it's the Muslims that they've offended - pretty sure that Allah ain't a mountain god ;) Ironically this is a rare example of a non-Islamic culture being protected in an Islamic country - namely the culture of an indigenous tribespeople.

No **** Sherlock. But it was still a Muslim country and that should have been a massive red flag to her not to do public nudity.
