I think the reaction to this is silly; some people really need to give their head a shake.

They got naked. On a mountain. And?

The position of the Malaysian Government is infantile. How can anyone believe that naked young adults caused an earthquake? It's a seriously flawed view to take.

Immature students from here who rampage round the world on a gap year disregarding local customs and being generally a pain deserve all they get.

I have seen some of our finest from Norwich University in action in Cambodia, absolute stupid children who caused such distress by poking fun and generally acting like idiots with local people.

This girl was told not to strip of and urinate as it's disrespectful but like so many others before her she couldn't care less.

Bang her up.

I haven't got a problem with her being disciplined for offending local customs, it's the notion that what they did caused the earthquake I find incredible.

The Borneo tribes people are respected by the Malaysian government and have rights in law regardless of their beliefs which don't happen to be Islamic (in all cases).

Our Brits are being charged with indecency and abuse of an official, appreciate these would have not been charged if they were in Ibiza but horses for courses.

I am glad these young adults are in court hopefully they will learn having a British passport does not make them immune from the law in other countries.
 
Just another example of us in the West thinking we can do what we like when we like wherever we want. As for ignorance I am pretty sure you cannot use ignorance as a defence in this country so why is it acceptable elsewhere. Being young is no defence either. In my day I have much that I regret usually because of the consequences.

These people should man up and apologise and accept any punishment.

Backwards country unfortunately...

Granted they were silly to do what they did, probably do deserve a fine/punishment. But causing the earthquake???
