Nurse arrested for murdering babies

I can't quite get my head around the fact that the Doctors who raised concerns initially were forced to write a letter of apology to Letby and threatened with being reported to the BMA for misconduct, by the senior management of the hospital.

A very bright spotlight needs to be shone on what exactly went on here. On the face of it, its possible more prison sentences should follow (But given the way things always seem to go - I doubt that will happen)

They had a lot of individual cases to go through and each one was complicated, the jury did well tbh, I’d hate think what the jury I was on would have come up with, bunch of thick idiots the probably would have said guilty hang her straight away and then gone down the pub.
My mum did jury service mid 70s and some had no idea what a jury does and anything about courts. Think in those days - the jury notice in the post was a leaflet about this. One jury member got fined for being 20 mins late as went shopping during the hour's lunch. The judge fined the woman about £100 in today's money.

As I suggested I just want to know what hard evidence the CPS had that convinced the jury. If you actually read my earlier replies I said, I am not saying she did or didn't do it, I just want to know how it came about.

this kinda stinks

they have ruined this persons life
This is really no different to when people on social media demand the police release more information about a murder or missing person investigation because they won't trust what's going on otherwise. You can claim to be unbiased but your emotive language betrays that entirely, you've seemingly already decided this is a miscarriage of justice.

I worked at this hospital for a while some years ago, there's managers of managers of managers who then have managers managing more managers. Probably typical of the NHS. Struck me as a good hospital all said.

I don't see the need for personal insults, As I suggested I just want to know what hard evidence the CPS had that convinced the jury. If you actually read my earlier replies I said, I am not saying she did or didn't do it, I just want to know how it came about.
You don't need 'hard' evidence to convict someone, if i leave my kid alone with a chocolate bar and come back 5min later to find the chocolate bar is no more and he's sporting a fetching chocolate moustache i don't need 'hard' evidence to be pretty sure he's eaten it.

Ha that’s brought back a memory…

When I was a nipper my dad got some chocolate cates out of a packet onto a plate. The cakes had a chocolate on top. Me and my brother were told we could have one each.

My dad later spotted that in addition to the 2 devoured cakes, one of the chocolates had been removed from the remaining cakes. He demanded to know which of us had eaten it. Both confused, we said he hadn’t. Furious, he said we would go straight to bed without dinner if we didn’t confess. Confused, we said we didn’t eat it. Off to bed we were sent.

… it turned out that mum had eaten the missing chocolate when she unpacked the cakes from the supermarket  :p

The BBC article showing Dr Breareys side shows exactly the lengths the management at the trust tried to bury their concerns. It's absolutely insane.

BBC News - Hospital bosses ignored months of doctors' warnings about Lucy Letby

That's all wizzykid needed to prove his point :)

wow, just reading through the BBC articles, mindblowing how them doctors were ignored. Then the article about the messages she sent looking for sympathy, makes me sick.
