Nurse arrested for murdering babies

How many of her former supervisors and managers - especially senior managers - have tendered their resignations? Are those crickets I hear? These people are paid in part to be responsible, and part of that responsibility is being responsible for your employees and tendering your resignation when they blunder or misbehave badly enough.
The ex-CEO is still gaslighting the doctors in the press whilst jumping from one cushy job to another.

I'm sure we will be soon informed by the judges, public enquiries and journos that lessons have been learnt and then much like previous cases, it'll happen again and again and people will point and say "We warned you"

They should write that on the grave of every baby denied a future with it's parents and future families!

A senior manager has been suspended but she was still working for the trust the others appear to have jumped ship before it sunk:

Yeah same,

It's like a weird window into her mind, the parts where she's writing "I want someone to help me" "I can't do it anymore" etc etc, with "HELP" written in thick black letters over the top.

It's like she know's what she's doing but she can't control it, a monster like you say.
Looks like self loathing and rather than self harming she transferred it onto something she was supposed to caring for instead, and thats about as far into armchair psychiatry that I'm prepared to delve into

Whole life order. So now the tax payer has to pay for her to sit in prison for the next 50/60 years.
This is why capital punishment should return. She is a vile twisted woman whom is not wired up correctly. There is no rehabilitation for these type of people.
Executing her is the only viable option in my opinion.

The nurse is obviously a nutter, I have as much or more loathing for the hospital's hierarchy that chose to put the reputation of the trust, such as its lamentable state was, above the proper investigation of what was obviously a nurse that may well have gone rogue and the suspicious deaths of many babies over a long time frame.

If there''s to be any extra judicial punishments dished out I would like to think the actioners might look beyond Letby and somewhat further afield. God knows history says without such actions those responsible for allowing many concerns from on site professionals to be quashed will just walk into another cushy number, or take early retirement with intact mega pensions. Their intransigence will go without any punishment at all. Of course, valuable lessons will be learned, and heartfelt condolences muttered.

There's currently a case where a council / social services had prior knowledge of probable child abuse, but appear to have turned a blind eye, (for whatever reason, I am not going there), and now a ten year old girl is dead, and the probable perpetrators are gone to a country with no formal extradition treaty.

Before any charges have even been brought the authorities are babbling the time honoured "lessons will be learned".

You really believe that 60 years in prison is less punishment than near instant death? Time is it's own prison.

Yeah I imagine this whole thing will end up being used as so many case studies, so many law and procedural changes.

Yet in the end - all of it, her reasoning her motive, her thoughts will likely go to the grave.

Some, (we who work and pay taxes in particular....), may look at the financial cost of life imprisonment in the cushy regime we use. If I want to purge rodents i don't incarcerate, feed and water them in their cage trap for ever as punishment for their damage. I euthanise them, save money and spend some of the savings on more traps and a refill of nitrogen.
