Nvidia 30X0 series waterblocks

Mine arrived Friday also, however I have had it out of the box once, mixture of work and Christmas events to prepare for and participate in but I’m hoping to start building this week. I have also been thinking about removing my bottom radiator or replacing it with a slim rad, so I can mount the card vertically (O11d) as it seems a waste to not see the most expensive part of the system (and most expensive cooler!). Am I getting much from the bottom rad anyway with there being no other airflow in the case?

Seems expensive for minimal performance gain over a v3 riser, not sure if there are extra more expensive components, but if not I’ll wait until China’s churning them out by the boat load and pick one up cheaper in a few years.

My issue was I’m running a zmt line around the back of the O11d, but a single 90 interferes with my uni fans another 90 and 7mm extender should give enough clearance.

I have this to come, need to cut my ova teks bracket to fit with the radiator. The uni fan rgb cable kit needs to come also then tube bending and finally I’ll have a rig.

and sorry for not delivering photos, holidays a baby and a toddler means I get the odd 30 minutes to myself :(

I have yes. Most of the time took me to figure out how to unplug this stupid led cable from 3080fe as the few videos available don't really show it. Other than this it was quick.

With block to be honest there are only few screws so it was very easy in terms of assembling. What was time consuming was cutting thermal pads into small pieces, for front and back of card. So in general not difficult but takes some time. Manual also doesn't say anything about unscrewing IO bracket from block, but you have to do it to put the card in.

I'll try to plug it in just with soft tubing today after work to see if it's all working, contact, temps etc.

oh my god this; it must have taken me 1.5 hours to fit the block. I’m also sure I put too much paste on this one, but didn’t have the heart to rip it off again after sticking the pads. Maybe I warm it up and go for it.

Mine took about the same time. Well 1 day and 1.5 hours as I didn't have the screwdriver for the Torx screws on the back.

That little led cable is the worst, in the GN teardown he didn't make it clear that you have to slide the metal plate back then lift the cable up.

I just watched him pull it out and noticed it slide back at the start then pull up. I bought the set from IFIXIIIIIIIIIIT so had no worries with having the right bits! :D

It’s because they are using the wrong connector and pins, the nvidia connector is by Anstron not microfit. I have taken some pics of my progress today, uploading now :)

Im sticking with the seasonic cable for now as it’s pretty smart for unsleeved. Yes I know the water cooling is worth more than the pc it’s cooling shoot me :p

I am also aware that I lose the top hdcp or hdmi connector with my vertical GPU dremmeling, I don’t mind.

need more fittings to arrive, then I can start bending :)

Oh and the block:

My watercool heatkiller V block has landed in the UK, however got slapped with a £50 duty and tax fee! What was a reasonable £220 inc delivery is now upto £270 :o. Thought i'd manage to skip the changes in the European law buying it before the new year but alas it didn't ship till the 19th of January :(.

That’s insane, I feel like being into watercooling and PCs is about to get a lot more expensive. :(
