Nvidia 310.54 Beta driver released

If one thing should be apparent to both AMD and Nvidia users is, some games favour one GPU and some another. Ideal scenario is to have both :p

For anybody already running the 310.33 beta these drivers might not bring much in the way off better performance. Kyle over at HardOcp said this.

"Keep in mind, those performances NVIDIA has compared to are the 306.97 WHQL drivers, a much much older driver version. This new driver is mainly for Black Ops II and AC3, the intro paragraph says it all. "This is the recommended driver for the best experience in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and Assassin's Creed III, providing up to 26% faster performance in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and up to 18% faster performance in Assassin’s Creed III"

Ok, tested a certain point of a map in BF3, 92.5fps, have now installed these, installed fine here on windows 8, going to go to same place and see if any difference in fps now.

Now I want....No, NEED BO2 and Assasins Creed 3 :)

now 91.5 fps with these, so no increase in bf3 for me, a small decrease:(

Very slight decrease as well here. Strangely too, when i disable vsync in bf3, im still capped at 59fps in bf3? Vsync off at both driver level and in game.

Yes, only slightly.

Love that they improve meaningless bench marks, but where it matters in game it actually decrease's, stupid world we live in.

Quite a few games listed show performance increases. What game/games was you talking about bud?

Well I did my own test on bf3, 306.97 whql, 92.5 fps, these 91.5 fps, I know it's nothing but still, it just goes to show how much effort they put in on meaningless bench marks, yet they mention a 16% increase for bf3, obviously not on older hardware.

Fair play and as a gamer I know what you mean. They don't mention anything with the older gen, so maybe it is a case of poor support for older cards now (I hope I am wrong).

That kind of change is well within margin of error mind. Unless its reproduced with multiple runs on each in a control benchmark rather than a manual run through a similiar ingame scenario.
