NVIDIA 4000 Series

It makes perfect sense, the 4070Ti is $900, its just replacing that with the 4070Ti Super, this is Nvidia, what did you think was going to happen?

The £1000 4080 is just a sales price.

Nvidia are giving you a slightly better Super version of existing cards at the same cost, you're supposed to like that. You're supposed to be happy, now you can buy one....

Funny, how you always make these small lies when it comes to nvidia. I bet in your mind the 4070 ti is $900 and and the 7900xt is $800, AMD win, even though it is the exact opposite.

Does that say £924 for a 4070 ti Super?

That wouldn't make any sense, as that's around the same price as a current 4080

Some random Swiss store, coming up with some fake pricing before release.

I'm just surprised, they've found a european one, and not some vietnamese high street corner shop.

The "leaked" price puts the 4070 super ($885) at higher price than the 4070 ti ($799), even though it is a lot worse. It is nonsense, and unsurprisingly AMD fanboys are willing to lap it up and make it sound believable.

4070 ti super at $1120

I guess they got the traffic they wanted.

I think the bigger issue is performance, if the 4080/7900 was hitting raster around 100fps at 4k they would be flying of the shelves.

You can do that +/-, but with DLSS. Problem is, people are REALLY underestimating how taxing 4k is, especially when you want to push graphics ahead too.

I agree, the value this time is terrible. My point is I don't expect GPU's to suddenly half in price which seems to be common fantasy.
There's still a chance you can get a GPU or two that are decently priced for the masses, like the 3060ti/3080 were.

I think Nvidia's next gen is going to *look* better value purely because the mid-range Ada cards barely outperformed their Ampere counterparts. I expect the 5060 Ti will be 30%-ish faster than the 4060 Ti for around the same money and since Nvidia downgraded the entire stack, they'll be able to continue getting the same (or better) margins for it.

When was the last time the GPU market made sense?

Nearly 3.5 years later you can buy a slower card for more money.

Nerfed GeForce RTX 4090D for China to Launch Today

by btarunr Today, 10:56

NVIDIA this October was barred by the US Federal Trade Commission from selling the GeForce RTX 4090 in the Chinese domestic market. The company scampered to create a China-specific variant of the RTX 4090 that would comply with the FTC's limits on the AI inference performance, while mostly being as fast as the regular RTX 4090 at gaming. The resulting product is the RTX 4090D. This card has significantly lower AI inference performance, probably due to a lower Tensor core count as VideoCardz reports, or a firmware based performance limiter similar to LHR (lite hashrate) GPUs during the peak of the crypto-scalping GPU shortage. This card goes on sale today. To prevent modding of this GPU back to a regular RTX 4090, it probably comes with a different device ID, and other barriers that prevent video BIOS from regular RTX 4090 from being transplanted over; and overclocking of the GPU is disabled beyond the maximum boost frequency advertised. The TGP has been lowered to 425 W, too.

Literally spat my drink out  .

So they're already introducing 70 class cards into the $1000 territory. Won't be long till we see 60 class cards in that territory next. How grim...
Can only hope all this is BS and they shift the price bracket down 1 notch.

that was just click bate crap on a random site, 4070ti right now is an £800 card they cant really add £250 for the super.
how did the pricing work the last time we seen super on the 2XXX cards?

4090, best value

I suspect the 70ti super if offering 4080 perf or better will come in at £900-1000. Couldn't care less how they shift around the tiers as long as perf is there but that's still too much now for a 80 level gpu especially when it's been out for as long as it has been now.

TBF the 4070 as just had a price drop, and it a Very good card for the cost, i won one online this i tested for a few days before selling as i had no need for it.
i don't know what AMD card is it match

Saw this available for all of 30 mins or so earlier today. Good for an easy WC option. Was hovering over the page for a second or two.

Think it's set to 450W out of the box. I imagine that may be 'fixable'.
