Key Updates in Gaming Technology:

  • Comprehensive support for the GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER GPU has been added, optimizing it for peak gaming performance.
Resolved Gaming Bugs:

  • An issue in Cyberpunk 2077, where the GeForce Experience's one-click optimization feature was not functioning correctly with the version 2.1 game update (Reference: 4412456), has been addressed and resolved.
Resolved General Bugs:

  • A recurring problem with Maxwell GPUs has been fixed. Previously, after several sleep/wake cycles, there was a noticeable issue where monitors would fail to wake up (Reference: 4351702). This bug has now been rectified in the latest driver update.

I will wait a few weeks, for the remaining 2 Super cards to come out, and make a choice then, my trustee GTX 1070 seems to finally be on its last legs.

Still not convinced on the 12GB VRAM for 4070 Super, but will have to see the AIB prices for the 4070 Ti Super are first, as may end up being more worthwhile to get the 4080 Super, if priced to high, just like the standard 4080 was to the 4090.

If you bought the 1070 new and plan to keep the new card for the same length of time then no, 12GB isn't enough.

There is no need to rush, supply on the new Super cards seems to be fine. :)

That was my thinking, 16GB minimum.

Bought my 1070, a few months after initial release, so 8 years this year, and hoping to get at least 6 years out of my next card

Yeah, there's no way on earth 12GB will be sufficient in six years' time.

I think a 4080 SUPER FE is a no-brainer in your situation, if you can grab one.

The performance uplifts will be and I'm willing to bet the 5080 will come in at $1000 given how poorly the 4080 was received and sold at $1200.
Yes!! They got the lesson and won't make same mistake again. Straight a single "4080 12GB"-like model for 1k, no need a confusion :)
Blackwell104-400 16GB 5080 DLSS4.0 so AI texture upscaling to drive that generous VRAM ;)

Listen to mystic meg here. Nvidia got ripped a new one with most of the ada cards at launch, they won't want that negative press and subdued sales with the 5000 cards.

As long as they can still sell everyone they make easily, they don't give a toss what the press say.

AMD offering serious competition is the only thing that will bring down prices and frankly there's no sign of that happening any time soon.
