NVIDIA 4000 Series

I opened the box this evening and found this inside of it :mad::mad::mad::mad:
I now have the worrying time of trying to sort this crap out

I just been googling it and this seems to happen a lot :(

And i found many other posts by people where the same kind of thing has happened
Yes, that article is from last year which is why I always think twice about getting anything expensive like a GPU from that place.

If I do then I do a continuous video from delivery person to opening the package, which should make going through the minefield of claiming a bit easier if there's pasta inside instead of a 4090.

If you get no joy phoning then I've normally had good results sending an email to this department if I'm getting nowhere fast with the scripted replies - [email protected]

Best of luck.

@chaparral eek, that is pretty grim - understatement. Not that it is helping you, but I have ordered stacks of high valued items from "that place" usually needing a four digit code or something these days for the delivery. All has been fine, so far. Perhaps I might consider opening their sealed parcels of high valued goods whilst recording.

All the best in sorting that mess out, it is the hassle of doing so that is typically the issue, assuming, of course, that you will be fully refunded......promptly.

I had the same with 2 CPU's from A****n, both times the boxes had been opened and the contents stolen.
I phoned up and got an instant refund.

I already been on the phone to them and the person I spoke to couldn’t do a refund or send a replacement as the value was higher then that person was allowed to do

I had this with Amazon. Purchased a brand new handheld console (one of those which played emulators) and the actual console itself had been removed from the box.
Luckily I got a refund.

As you’re in Guernsey I doubt the card was stolen in Guernsey but before it arrived on island.
I reckon it was before despatch as the GPU box was inside a sealed brown Amazon box so you couldn’t see what was inside the box without opening it.
Maybe when it was on it way to the amazon warehouse

Read about this stuff online but it was mainly happening in the US. Whoever did this, Amazon will have a paper trail so will be able to trace it back to the culprit unless the item was returned multiple times.

On a plus side, at least they packed it with quality goods from Waitrose! That Korean spicy sauce is worth about £3 :D.

Was it direct from amazon or a third-party seller but sent out by amazon ? Some of these items sold by third party sellers and sent from amazon warehouses come with these problems too, or was it an amazon outlet/warehouse sale ? An item returned to amazon but sold by them cheaper as it was opened or returned ?

This is horrific and I have purchased pc items and items turned up are not even the item I have ordered direct from amazon and also had expensive items that just had an amazon delivery sticker on them and the package is the retail package showing exactly what is in the box and not even boxed in a brown amazon box, had me fuming many times with that happening and surprised the items didn't get stolen.

Also only time I had a 4 digit code was when buying a mobile phone never for any other expensive items that cost many times more than the mobile phone.

Sorry to see this mess and hope they resolve it quickly as this is nothing more than fraud/theft now. Also their delivery people seem to be getting worse and worse and even sticking small items that should be handed over to me are ending up in the wrong mail boxes but they state handed to resident when they clearly have not.

I have a major problem now as my email is only setup on an iPad Pro and this stupid iPad will not let me send a photo in an email

Upload it through Wetransfer and send it as a link to the image. The good thing is, Wetransfer will notify you when the link has been used so you'll know when Amazon agents have looked at it.

I would rather just keep it all on an e-mail platform .
I may just have to wait till i can setup my e-mail on a window PC instead of my stupid apple device which doesn’t seem to let me even do even simple things like e-mail a picture
