NVIDIA 4000 Series

Any date set when the 3rd party reviews are out ? I know companies post bias charts etc these must be the worse all seem to see focused on DLSS and RT and that's even vague for me doesn't look promising for raster

Think I'll be enjoying the 3080fe at 1440p for sometime :)

11 October reviews are out, 1 day before sales of rtx4000

The 50% performance per watt increase is something to go on yeah. Do you never have a gut feeling?

Let me put it to you another way then, what are your expectations for the performance improvement per tier? And again I will ask, do you expect them to match or beat Ampere RT performance.

I am sure you will try and wriggle out of answering again though
Edit: since you asked for a guess 5x faster in raster. RT cores removed and will cost £50. only 10GB of VRAM
Gut feeling guess. Happy Now?

Yeah, whatever mate. Knew you would evade again
You asked for a gut feeling guess, based on 01 useable piece of information. and you were expecting some accurate guess:rolleyes:

If you want guesses on RDNA 3 performance go watch the leaker channels. If you think they are ******** and have no sources then you have no reason to be requesting my guesses. And if you think they have sources then anything they say is more valuable than my input.

Who asked for a accurate guess?

So the prices in Germany are up now, and the 4080-12Gb is going to come in at the same price as the 3080Ti currently is. It'll be interesting to see how the two cards compare when we start getting benchmarks. The 3080Ti has about a third more CUDA cores, and twice the bus width, but the 4080-12 has a much faster clock (almost a GHz faster), all the new tech, and - although I can't see this confirmed by Nvidia anywhere - 8x as much L2 cache.

Yeah I'm going to be *really* interested in how things fall when third party benchmarks are in. Is RT/DLSS *all* there is to crow about here? If so it's likely a swing and a miss.

It's a shame, I was looking forward to this launch, I just bought a 32" 144Hz 4k monitor, and I'm interested in getting something capable to drive it. But at this price that 2080Ti is looking like holding on for a good while longer!
Maybe it's time to finally go SLI :D
