NVIDIA 4000 Series

We don't buy video cards in € though, they are priced in $ like everything coming out of Taiwan. However yes we have lost some traction against the €, but given the Italian election results I think that might have an effect today.
I'm well aware that we don't buy video cards in €. You implied that it wasn't the pound falling but the dollar strengthening, i pointed out that if that were the case we'd expect other currencies to be following a similar pattern and using your example of the euro/dollar we don't see that if we compare the euro/pound.

Have a look at the trend of the EUR and GBP against the dollar over the last month, they're actually pretty similar. It's only the last couple of days of Truss's Sterling collapse that have sharply diverged. (@Iron Man is right, that's enough of all this).

£ dropped as low as $1.03 in the Asian market this morning before recovering back to $1.07.
When the cards are released we could well see the £ drop below a $.

If I don't get a FE card, then there is no way I am paying £2000+ for an AIB.
Obviously pricing is all hear say, but you certainly won't see AIB within £100 of the FE.

You didn't miss much mate the typical Nvidia shenanigans and trying it on with customers and their stupid claims. Hope you're keeping well and looking forward to your comments when you see what they have done. :D
The pricing is ridiculous. The RTX4080 12GB is basically an RTX4060TI! This looks like Nvidia is trying it's best to clear Ampere stocks at RRP.

I think a lot of people should just have a reality check and maybe just set money aside for the next round instead.

But then again, people spend hilarious amounts on keyboards... KEYBOARDS. lol.

Rekon the pound will ever recover ?

Tbf the only recent game I've played is S&box running on Source 2, and even though it's quite unfinished it runs pretty well for me.

It's not really like the late 90's/early 2000's where we had new games worth upgrading for, i discount Crysis because i was never fussed, and it didn't run that great even with good hardware then.

Saw on YouTube there is an MSI product launch event tomorrow. Hopefully some more info will come out then. I’m most interested in the gaming mode bios option on the new cards and seeing how far the boost clock is pushed up on this.
